Jon's been in several fights where he wasn't the faster & more explosive fighter. He's never been known for being the fastest or the hardest puncher. So facing a fighter who has those things over him wouldn't be new. He always figures it out & finds a way to win bc he has high fight IQ, the most proven & complete skillset & a layered game. so, if the UFC is the biggest mma promotion in the world, and they make unreal amounts of money, why cant they pay Jon Jones the money he is requesting to make the Aspinall fight? why are the fans and media crying out for Jones to be underpaid again just to fight Aspinall lmfao? All i hear from media is how much money and power the UFC have, and yet the media always fall short of holding the UFC accountable when the do not use their money and power to bring the fans a fight the fans want. instead, the fans and media turn on the fighters every time.

agree 100%, I have been using an analogy, just because KC Chiefs were Champions last year does not mean they just get to skip the playoffs and get installed into the Super Bowl this year, Jones should of either been fighting Tom for the title of have been required to give up his title if he was going to Bypass the clear #1 contender Tom, Stripe should have been required to fight and win a #1 Contender fight against Volkov (Gane already had his chance and lost), imo in 2024 Stipe would have lost to any fighter in the top the 4 TODAY

the solution in every single division the highest ranked guy not to fight for title in the last year needs to be the guy fighting for the title, at the same time two other fighters in the top 7 fight a #1 Contender fight, AND two fighters (2 in the top 8) fight two other fighters (can be any fighter 1-15) fight two number 2 contender fights with the winners in the next #1 contender fight, (in the event of a draw it can be body or work combined with review of tape and media scores) ..... thus a losing Champion (or drawing #1 Contender in a Championship fight draw) would not get a automatic rematch since the winner of the #1 contender fight is guaranteed the next title fight, thus a losing Champion (or drawing #1 Contender in a title fight) would be offered automatically the next #2 Contender fight, this way all fighters and champions would know how and why a title fight would be earned and losing Champion (any and all) would know not to call out a immediate rematch .... every Champion would be expected to fight every 4-6 months, if they can't fight within 9 months they give up the title .... also there would be exceptions in certain rare circumstances, example granting Stipe a #1 Contender fight (not a title fight) despite being ranked #8 for his body of work and being a long time Champion (but certainly not a title fight)
