So you've scraped your BSA Gold Star's exhaust?

Seeing so many BSA Gold Star's with boot marks and more on their exhausts, I thought id show you a quick and easy way to keep your motorcycles exhaust system looking super tidy.

My bike had Red or Orange paint scraped along its exhaust, I never noticed the paint until I got the bike into my own workshop.

You can use this technique throughout the whole of your exhaust system on the Gold Star 650 and the results are an exhaust that looks like it did when it was new.

Remember to follow the brushing on the exhaust, mine was vertical (I am sure yours are also) and not side2side. If you do n0t follow the brushing your exhaust will look patchy!

Tools: ScotchBrite (you can order from Amazon or eBay) Green unbranded scouring pads do not give a good enough finish and can leave deep scratches, buy the original 'ScotchBrite' for a truly superior finish on your BSA.
A bottle of WD40 (you don't need much, just a light touch every so often, if its dripping off your exhaust, you are using way too much).
