【Melodic Rock/AOR】Dreams - The Fear of Being Alone 2013~Emily's collection

【Pls look at the top comment first】The first time I know this band Dreams is about 5 years ago from heavyharmonies. This band released only one album in 2013 with a human-face clock on the disc cover, leaving me deep impression. I had thought Dreams was an ultra rare name but I was wrong when I started to learn more about their background. Limited copies as this album was in, they used to have fame, win popularity and be welcome by fans. Up to now, they still perform on stage and the reunion of Dreams marks the revival of their rock spirits after 20 years. That is to say, Dreams is not a newly-formed band though their album was released in 2013, which is of fairly recent year. After hearing some tracks of them, you can feel these tunes sound nostalgic. Actually, these works of Dreams were written and recorded from late 1980s to early 1990s while the band was founded in 1985.

I post some early pictures of Dreams, and then you can see how young they were. Five young boys look like teenagers in the picture of 1986, especially the keyboardist, Todd Loizzo. What a green age of this boy on the stage! They were all born of rock n roll. Amazingly, they brought killer songs, the powerful voice with perfect keyboards and guitar works, very skilled performance. I recommed this song "The Fear of Being Alone" can verify everything that why these young rockers could hit the headlines on the newspaper 30 years ago. The intro sounds like calling from the universe, coming out in splendid keyboards by the very young player Todd Loizzo. The highlights of this song maybe the guitar solos by Paul Smith. Incidentally, Todd Loizzo is the son of Gary Loizzo, the Ex-lead singer of The American Breed in the mid 1960s and a two-time Grammy-nominated recording engineer, who worked with REO Speedwagon, Styx, Bad Company, Slash, Survivor and many others. It is pity that Mr Gary Loizzo passed away on 16th January, 2016 at the age of 70. The Facebook page of Dreams was in the memory of this great musician by posting a group photo covering all the members of Dreams and Mr Gary Loizzo, which can also be seen in my video at 4:01. The last picture in the video was taken in 2011, the reunion year of Dreams. Can you recognize each look of these former young boys after over 20 years? As 8 years goes by, they updated Facebook page "Dreams" in 2019 and gathered together in a concert. Now their children are even older than the year when they came together in the mid 1980s as they claim. What a precious memory! All that is why I want to recommend this band on my channel even if this excellent aor masterpiece has been already posted by other fans. Cherish for good!
