The fact that police asked to see his phone and he reset it, they didn't see csam they saw lack of location traffic and unmatched info from what SS was stating. Maybe more that we don't know about. That would give probable cause to get a search warrant and look more into it imo

GF, I'm happy that this was denied and SS has to face the judge again seizure of that phone was given by consent so many times. The only thing that wasn't was a piece of paper oh well and SS was lying when he spoke. The Audacity Of This criminal is going to face going to prison. GF The police were trying to find out where she was but also why she was missing. The images were found while looking at the phone data to figure out why she might have been missing and for clues as to what may have happened to cause her to be missing. IMO the police now had further evidence into her disappearance. Cosleeping, cuddle time may equal probable cause that something more was going on

I dont feel that when they asked if they could keep his phone, they made him feel as though he had a choice. The phone was not even in the room at that point, from what I remember either.

I really REALLY hope that you’re wrong about this issue, but I’m also thinking, worrying, that the defense actually had a leg to stand on with this motion. Bottom line is that if the police would’ve gotten a warrant, which is easy enough to do, then we wouldn’t be talking about Stinky Sterns potentially getting off for the csam charges. But, on the other hand, he’s most likely getting life in prison for killing innocent little Maddie. At least he won’t be walking out of jail!

It’s really cool to hear that you’re into family history and have a chart hanging in your house! I also grew up in Western PA! And my great Uncle Frank has a WW2 memorial dedicated to him at the Historical Society Museum in Beaver as well as a statue in the park in Beaver. It’s such an honor and my mom found him after many years of not knowing what happened to him after crashing his plane in France. It’s a really cool story and a little piece of history. 30 minutes after, new lie: "she left her phone at home, I left my phone at home ... "

That created a breach within his oath to tell the truth, even about the phone.

Had he said, "I left my phone at home" THE FIRST TIME, [instead of "not mapsing it"] MIGHT have changed the scope of their investigation, rather than "shifting" it where his answers suit each each answer to each question.

Gavin, I’m late I think , very late! I just heard someone make what I feel is a very inaccurate comment. I have known you from the early days of Gabby . I couldn’t think of a more fair and impartial person period. I know in my heart of hearts you would Never side with anyone clearly guilty of a serious, heinous crimes, especially of a little girl. I think you tend to be so fair that people may, although I’m not sure how, mistake your impartial stance for journalistic purposes, as defending the defense. I know you are clearly making a very clear point that we all have to protect our rights and simply stating it is better for police to dot all their I’s and to cross their t’s. It is important that everyone protect themselves so that criminals don’t get away on a technicality. I do MOTHER think you are in anyway , shape or form negative. If the female detective saw something when she fiest checked out his phone, it probably would have take her an hour to get a search warrant to take possession of the phone. And we wouldn't be talkingabout this. It was a slick move on behalf of this detective and she realized halfway in what she'd done and back-pedaled a bit to justify herself. IMO
