Good review. I noticed you had a mat under your griddle. What kind is it and do you find it’s necessary to protect your deck from splatter?
ОтветитьLooks like price went up to $550
ОтветитьHe said price was $349. Up to $529 just four months later. Yikes!
Ответить$349? Here we are 5 months after you uploaded this video and now this same griddle costs $529!
ОтветитьPrimeval's compromised. Burn it down! haha nice shirt. i play D2 alot more than i should, wait.... no I dont! great video
ОтветитьGreat video! I too have watched hours of videos comparing different flat tops. I'm leaning toward the Camp Chef. For me the rear grease collection on the Blackstone won't work because my set up is similar to yours. It would be hard if not impossible to access it without moving the griddle. I do have a question or concern about the Camp Chef though. If one or more of the burner igniters were to stop working would you still be able to light the burner or burners with the defective ignitoe from one of the other burners or would you have to light it manually with a match? That might be a deal breaker for me.
Well it's a year later and I thought I'd give an update. I bought the Blackstone and I'm very happy with it. Walmart had too good of a deal to resist on the price and it was pre-assembled and included a hard cover top. I did buy a set of wind guards but that was a minimal expense. The rear grease cup so far has been a non issue for me. I also love the Camp Chef but I just couldn't resist the price of the Blackstone. Either griddle is great. Also I forgot to mention that I bought a natural gas conversion kit and it's well worth it if you have natural gas nearby.
Good video...I am sold on these Camp Chefs, however Dicks has them for $539.. plus shipping 135..(steep) and tax puts it about $700.00. I have a 2 burner Pit Boss and love it but need bigger surface. Oh by the way you had the drink but the camera man was doing all the swaying...........(<:
Ответитьeveryone complaining about price going up.
yea i bought mine prepandemic at HD for 350 as well. everything is more expensive because of the pandemic affecting transportation...
Man these are like $550 now at dicks
ОтветитьLove my Camp Chef griddle for all the same points you made. Thanks
ОтветитьWhat kid is that
ОтветитьGreat vid! So i'm looking at the 600 on the camp chef website and the side tables don't look like they have the same two rows of "heat dispersal holes" in them as yours. Is that just an error in the photo? Also, where did you get the hard top cover for the camp chef? (sry if i missed that in the vid)
ОтветитьThis guy loves red knobs😂
ОтветитьI have a char griller flat iron 36". works great, didn't like the rear grease and heard from others that blackstone is very finicky with wind. The camp chef is a great griddle, just couldn't find any locally.
ОтветитьHave you ran into any issues with the heat coming off the back of the griddle and the siding/railing behind it? I just picked one up yesterday and I’ve noticed it puts quite a bit of heat out behind it
ОтветитьWhat kind of beer was that?
ОтветитьJust like you I'm watching all the he videos out there to see which one will work better for me. Definitely leaning towards the tree camp chef over the Blackstone, but now I see that the pit boss looking nice to because of the ceramic coating or non stick coating. What do you think of the pit boss. Still deciding on which one to get. Going to get you opinion
ОтветитьGreat informative video. New subscriber and I like the wind guards built into the camp chef. Does it come with a lid? Check out The Flat Top King channel! Thanks for sharing! Cheers!
ОтветитьEveryone is talking about the griddle but I see that Drifter t-shirt. Eyes up guardian.
ОтветитьThe Camp Chef is now $549 at Dick's.............trying to figure out what did they change for the $200 mark up from July2021 to now ?!?!?!
ОтветитьThat Destiny shirt!
ОтветитьDoes it throw a lot of heat off the back? I’d like to put it along the house like you have, but wondering how much space I’ll need to leave to make sure I don’t melt the siding.
ОтветитьI like the rear grease trap better. But built in wind shields, grill included, size and price point are very good. With the Culinary Blackstone there are no heat shields available so depending on the model it can be tricky getting it set up the way you want. I am impressed with the quality and price and what's included I see here. If I had to do it again I would give this some thought. But probably go with the Blackstone 36" which includes the air fryer. I don't think I would use the grill here.
ОтветитьWith the Camp Chef the left shelf has to be in place to use the grease trap.
ОтветитьJust doing some research on what griddle to get but the real question is what are you drinking? Hazy IPA?
Ответитьi've been looking at the camp chef since it has the grill under the griddle.
ОтветитьYou just leave the cast iron outside and covered? No rust both on the seasoned cooking surface and underside?
ОтветитьThanks for taking the time to make this. Where did you get the top that you show in the beging of the video? Thx
ОтветитьWhat are you drinking? Looks good.
ОтветитьUsed to have a Blackstone, tried the Camp Chef Pellet Grill, and purchased the SideKick for that pellet grill, that came with a 14" Camp Chef griddle. Getting introduced to Camp Chef and their products have totally changed our cooking game. Now I have a 3 burner Explorer that is interchangeable with everything that I can put on my SideKick burner on my pellet grill. We use their Pizza Oven, BBQ Box, Griddle(s) and more. Can't go wrong with this company and their versatility IMO.
ОтветитьCan these things hit 500°? Plus
ОтветитьDid it warped on you ?
ОтветитьU will live the camp chef till aluminum burners melt on u
ОтветитьWhat is the exact size of the griddle plate? And how much did you pay at Dicks?
ОтветитьI was surprised how rough the camp chef cooking surface was out of factory.
ОтветитьHow many times can one one say “I
Iike the red knobs”…lol. Oh by the way…seasoning does NOT take a long time. Burn oil off 3x and done.
Over 500 bucks now
ОтветитьAre you an old fart like me that plays Destiny 2!!!!!!
ОтветитьBrought to you by tom Segura
ОтветитьCurrent pricing....Amazon is 450 and Dicks is 599. Gotta love inflation
ОтветитьIs that a destiny 2 shirt?!
ОтветитьNicely done ~ thanks for taking the time to make the video! Beautiful yard btw...
ОтветитьWhere is the blackstone to compare it
ОтветитьI owned both. Blackstone first because of their marketing machine. Then I got bored one morning and purchased the Camp Chef 600. Sold my Blackstone on Craigslist 90 days later. Never used it again. Why? The Blackstone is more for weekend warriors where the Camp Chef is for…well… backyard “chefs”. The fit and finish of the Camp Chef is in an entirely different league. The reason why you get a heat dispersion plate, as well as wind deflectors built in, is because it’s a more serious piece of equipment than the Blackstone. it’s just a better, more thought out, griddle. The grease trap, for example? Hmmmmmmm…let me put a grease trap at the back of a searing hot slab of metal where I have to reach across the heat to manage my flat top? What were they thinking? In the end, do you want a toy or do you want an appliance? Remember, I’ve owned both.
ОтветитьGlad you put the price. This grill is now $600 🤣
Ответитьjust curious , what do they season the griddle with?
ОтветитьBlackstone all the way
ОтветитьDoes the grill cover work with the tank installed?
ОтветитьGreat video and great information.. we use camp chefs as well
ОтветитьI'm doing my homework and trying to decide on which griddle to buy. I've got my eye on the new Camp Chef Gridiron 36. Thanks for the info on this one.
