Charles, signing a forward is very important. But, Arteta planning how to use the squad properly is even more important. You cannot keep playing Saka 90mins every game and expect him not to get injured. That goes to a few more players - Saliba, Gabriel, Odegaard etc. Arteta has to plan the use of the squad. Otherwise, the club can get 4, 5 more good players and attackers and we will still be here at the end of next season.

In terms of a Striker signing, Isaak is not happening, so we can pretty much forget about him. Like you, I also think it’s a toss-up between V. Gyokores and B. Sesko, with a slight edge to Gyokores in my opinion. Having watched a few highlights of both Strikers this season, I would prefer Gyokores because I think we definitely need a ruthless fucking BULLY up top. We are just way too nice and we need someone to torment and give the opposition defenders unrelenting nightmares EVERY SINGLE GAME. Sesko really doesn’t do that in my opinion. It’s time for us to dish out some punishment for a change with Gyokores. Even if he doesn’t score 20-25 goals, he will occupy the opposition defenders and definitely allow our Wingers and Midfielders to score more goals.

I think there's an argument that chance creation has been as big, of not bigger, an issue as scoring goals. I do think it'll be better next season, but we need a new #9, a sterling replacement and if Trossard goes he'll need replacing too.

I don't think the club will do what we all hope they do this summer. Nowhere near enough. It's down to the fans not to accept this lack of ambition year after year and put pressure on the ownership with various demonstrations.

I don't think you should ever consider changing a manager if he's come second three times in a row and lost in a semi in the European Cup! With a little luck they could have won at least one of those four competitions. The fact that Arteta's got Arsenal into those positions is testimony to his suitability. If he keeps Arsenal in the top three of the Premiership for the next ten years - even if he fails to win one—it is still an indication of competence!

Out: Trossard/Martinelli, Havertz, Jorginho, Tierney

This is the window I’m hoping for. I’d love Isak, Williams, Eze etc but I think in terms of PSR etc, this is the most realistic AND acceptable window.

Not an very reliable transfer news but hope you cover this story as well Charles. From Italy, Arsenal are linked with AC Milan's Rafeal Leao. I think many Arsenal fans will like this link as it is really one of those high caliber ceiling raiser type of potential signing. I know we lack depth but we also lack some real killer and genuine competitor for the staring lineup. I do hope we constantly gets linked with these Leao type of player who can really push Arsenal forward. Personally, I do think we can get player like Leao on the LW too. Remember few years ago when Newcastle signed Tonali out of the blue? Everybody thought he was not for sale but Newcastle made the deal happen. I think a lot of Arsenal fans would want to see Berta doing similar stuff in this summer transfer window.

Arteta is one of the top five coaches in Europe, he surely made some errors in some games, particularly in EPL and the local cups. But the shortfall is almost entirely to blame on the owners and the board who as usual shied away from supporting him in last successive transfer windows, most Arsenal fans won’t trust them to do much even in the coming summer as well. Arteta should be very brave to stand up to them to get him exactly what he wants or leave. He he been fully protecting them whatever they do even when they brought Sterling, etc last summer

In terms of strikers either Sesko or Gyökeres is fine.
Sesko is nibble with his feet, though he is a Giant which is brilliant for heading. His technique is also good, finishing is top draw a brilliant player in the making. " Like a mini version of Isak."
Gyökeres is good with free kicks, brilliant finishing ability, and dribbling. His assist numbers are also good. "Reminds me of Van Persie."

People need to watch how arsenal were when he took over , to how we are now.

We need a top striker badly. Look at our FA cup win we had PEA on form to drag us over the line.

We need a striker that will take the chance when it’s handed to them. In the premier league look at the last 3 seasons and each teams top goal scorer and then look at ours.

But people think we can just spend on that big striker but I feel financially we can’t cos of the money we have already spent.

Perhaps Gyokores AND Sesko? plus a wide player and a ball carrying disrupter. I think we need 4 goal scorers to make sure we both convert more chances and have difference makers on the bench. Apart from Zubimendi to replace Jorginho, I'd sacrifice any other incomings for that. And I would sell Havertz (I know that won't happen) and Jesus.

Just look at what we have had to deal with this season, no one gave us a chance against Real M with the players we had available. Back the club and Arteta . He turned this club around . Football Club performance is NOT linear. There are peaks and troughs. But the TREND with Arteta is UPWARD for sure. Stay patient, we are not entitled to win but I am enjoying what we are achieving and enjoy watching our team play.

Astonished that anyone wants Arteta to go, it would be an absolute disaster if we lost him! He would have walked the league with a fully fit squad. He took over a mess of a club slipping into a mid table team, we now challenge for everything and it’s down to him! Who the hell do these people want to take over?? Ridiculous!

At the moment, we are the nearly men and we just can't get that final bit right, injuries have had a huge impact on our season, that's true but the club had an opportunity to strengthen the squad but did nothing, so here we are again.
I'm not on the "Arteta out" train but he needs to win something next season or these voices will become more prominent and could sway the club. Berta and Arteta have a big job on their hands this summer, the first is to bring in some new talent that can change our fortunes and the other is to persuade our top talent to sign contract extensions, lets hope this new partnership can deliver what we all crave...... a 🏆 or 2.

Hi Charles! I’m honestly quite surprised that you think Arteta should be questioned if we’re in a similar spot next season. For me, it’s clear we’re still making progress. Sure, we haven’t been at our best in the league this year, but that’s down to a mix of things — injuries, poor decisions going against us, and more. Without those, I genuinely believe we’d have been right there fighting for the title.

And in the Champions League, making it to the semifinals shows real growth — we’re improving in Europe and I fully believe we’ll go all the way and lift the trophy eventually.

Arteta isn’t the issue — recruitment is. We’ve been left short in a few crucial areas, and it’s time the club steps up and spends properly. Not just one big signing, but two or three — a striker, a winger, and a midfielder are all needed.

Harvatz, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Maghaleas, all injured, we plated without a single striker, instead, a makeshift striker in Merino. Arteta has done well.

Why can’t we spend 200-300mil in the summer?!?! We see our rivals do it every year. We clearly need to push the boat out this summer it’s that type of ambition that helps get the likes of saka and saliba to sign extensions.

I think Myles Lewis Skelly is going to play in midfield next season when Calafiori is fitt to play and that will give them to sign winger instead of midfield. Some players need to leave such as Tomiyasu, Zinchenko, G.Jesus, and they need to find solution for Havertz and Merino because if all of them are available and fitt who is going to start? If Arsenal sign number 9 I dont see Havertz or Merino playing as number 9, they can play as number 8 too because Rice is much better as number 8 so this will be head ache for Arteta

When the issue of rotation is a recurring theme season on season, can we start to assume that Arteta is a man who tries to create his image if perfect and anything less than that (no matter how slight) is something he rejects. He came up under Pep and we've been blessed to see some of that. He played under Wenger and only the 22/23 Season has shown any of that innovativeness Wenger had. Arteta is going to be great "in the right place, in the right circumstance"
