Interestingly, I did play Kibler and some other pro in 2HG at the last US Nationals in 2010. My friend had qualified for Nationals off an Abyssal Persecutor control deck I'd built. Was a fun match. We ended up going like 3/1 in that side event which was a fun one to play with a bunch of skilled players. That was Zendikar and Alara block standard. 2HG was an Alara sealed event. Not well designed for 2HG, like Battle Bond, but it was a good time.

And... 2HG is far more fun than commander IMO. Matches are shorter and it removes the annoying politics and gears the game mode back towards competitive play

I am with Prof on this one, if you are marketing this as Double Headed Giant Commander why limit a team to only 6 packs that is only 90 cards minus the lands so that new total is 84 cards between two players which won’t make good decks at all. Also why have a product that has 36 packs in it but only limit your fan base to use only a third of it. It makes no sense if this was marketed as DHG Commander.

To be honest, I do wish I had a box of Battlebond. What a fantastic set! This and Conspiracy are wonderful sets.

TROGDOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My buddy and I went into a battlebond event together. He's a certified magic judge, he'd been playing for like 8 years, I had been playing for probably 3 months, with no card game experience before magic. I had always considered going wide and combat tricks very funny. He is a combo player at heart but can rock any playstyle. He HEAVILY advised not playing combat tricks, but we built our decks just on suggested colors as to not clue the table in on what we were building. All I said was "I like black, and I guess I have a lot of red". I built SO MANY combat tricks just cus I had a handful of good cards but not really anything that screamed a strong line of play. I was looking at my cards and eventually realized I had opened and immediately disregarded Sentinel Tower, and I looked across the table with this huge grin. He immediately knew I had funny combat tricks, but had definitely found a funny line, and as long as he built decent we'd be in good shape. He ended up building an izzet creature aggro and combo deck that didn't do either one super well, but with me pumping his creatures and pinging down opponents creatures so he could swing for face, we ended up DOMINATING. I forget if we placed first or second but it was such a memorable experience, exploring the game and different mechanics, polishing my very rough deck building skills, and expanding my style out of goofy and into goofy but strategic, absolutely bullying other teams that had judges, players with 5-10 years of experience each, etc who always looked down on me and plays I found interesting or exciting USING THOSE PLAYS. Extremely satisfying. Godzilla/Kaiju/Ikorea got me into magic, but I think Battlebond really had a big impact on how I build and play, and why I still play

Speaking of the Kyle Hill situation...
I recently saw a guy that looked a bit like Tony Hawk, and I wondered, have I really just seen a guy that looks a bit like Tony Hawk? Or was it another of those Tony Hawk spottings where people don't believe it's really him? Definitely a funny experience.
Granted, the guy looked a bit too young to be Tony Hawk - but I bet "You look like Tony Hawk, but I think you are too young to be really him" is also something that Tony Hawk hears a lot.
