Swamp Thing is one of my favorite comic book characters ever.
Alan Moore's Saga Of The Swamp Thing & Scott Synder's Swamp Thing runs made him a favorite of mine.

Swamp Thing is a combination of the Heap and The Incredible Hulk. It's a shame that both Swamp Thing and Man-Thing, have played second fiddle to the Hulk. It's time to give them the spotlight alongside Hulk.

Swamp Thing is badass. Alan Moore is a genius storyteller for sure. Obviously he didn’t create the character, but he evolved the character. Gave him more depth, not being so one dimensional so to speak. Also, I’ve read and watched about many fans that complain that everything is being made to be darker and more mature, taking away from the lighthearted versions of the early years of comics. Um, yea, I’m an adult that loves comics. I want dark, complex, violent stories and characters. I do get that not all comic book fans are adults, but that’s what kid’s cartoons are for. You gotta have a balance of both. You can’t just have content for kids only or for adults only. We already have that but there’s people actually complaining that there’s stuff being made for adults in general like all they want is the lighthearted kids stuff. To each their own I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ll take my mature content thank you 😂

I grew up watching the Wes Craven movie. I love the D.C. universe series and was pissed they canceled after season 1… Why the hell did they do that? Oh well at least I can re read the Alan Moore series along with the New 52.

Alan Moore’s run on Saga of the Swamp Thing is unsurpassed. If you haven’t read it yet, you must!

We want Swamp Thing in the DC Universe movie why can't we get it

We need Swamp Thing in the DC Universe movie because we have never had him in the movie everybody knows that we've like Swamp Thing and we would love to see him in the universe of DC movies

Swomp thing feels useless to me when it comes to me good to know he isn't. Ive only seen him from when he gets summoned.

Alan Moore's Swamp Thing was DEEP! ST grew from thinking he was Alan.
Then he learned he wasn't & had to deal with that mind bender.
Then he learned how powerful he was as an elemental.
Then, he fought Batman over several comics & brought Gotham city to its knees for areesting Abby for loving a non-human.
Then Gotham hired Lex Luthor to kill him, which just made him "jump" to another planet while his body burned.
Then, he saved a planet from dying & even time traveled a bit on his search to make it back to Earth.

Oh, and he saved Superman when he got sick & went mad from a spore from a Kryptonian meteorite. It involved a kind of mind meld with Superman via the spore in Supe's body & it was trippy. Of course there was fighting.

Best version of Swamp Thing in live action was the Duck Durock TV series.

I am just starting to read it. I am a manga reader but I am now open to try western comics. So far, I have read only one chapter but it was good and engaging and I like that old drawing style.

Cannot wait to see this character done right with care under Gunn's DCU.
