It was a very gracious speech and the Langers are a class act. Still, a 188 yd approach shot is completely different than a 207 yd approach and a 180 yd approach is completely different than a 204 yd approach. NBC shouldn't have shown Bernhard's very, very long walk up to the front tees on the two playoffs on 18. Can we be honest and say if the playoff was on 17 the outcome would almost certainly have been different? Why was the playoff on a hole with (I think) the biggest difference in the tee box distances?

Edit: and the Woods' are a gracious class act for not even hinting at this valid point in their post playoff interviews.

Could take them a little Langer, if they keep moving the tees up for a player who avg drives are 275 yards, but gets an 100 yard advantage on 18 over Tiger, who might drive it 20 yards longer than Bernhard.

Why do they continue to let Langer cheat. He does not swing the handle of the long putter. Therefore it is an anchoring of the club and a violation of the rules of golf.

While I appreciated the competition, I really felt Bernhard really got way too much of an advantage off the tee boxes being moved up so far for the seniors.

I have always been a fan of Bernhard. If, in his prime, he could have putted like he does now, there’s no telling how great he could have been back then, but he is a lot of fun to watch now.

I remember Langer splashing on the scene at the masters had to be very early 80s. About the time Norman was becoming the Shark!! It really ushered in a golden age pre tiger. To think Langers been around that long?? Still in this great shape?? Skills??? Wow!!

It's not one year passed since Bernhard Langer had a torned Achilles tendon. He is 67 years old and got some yards from the front tees. But, how often his drives were used? I see him making the shot to the green after his son's attempt from 50 yards more than Charlie Woods did. And Bernhards shot was the closest one! If someone has a problem with the shorter tees Bernhard got, then he also should ask why a long hitting teenager gets 25 yards shorter tees. Accepting this is a question of sportsmanship, something both teams showed, but not the commenting crowd in total.

BL is such a GREAT of golf and you can hear how much he loves the game. Golf is lucky to have him! A true professional and I think even Tiger loved the clutch putt!

Everyone wanted Woods team to win.

Bernhard is such a competitor - keeps his body and mind in such great shape.
