A self-proclaimed president like Zelensky in Ukraine, there is no difference. Russia does not want to occupy Belarus, I see no reason to raise such a topic. If you want to occupy someone, you certainly won't give them nuclear weapons before the occupation. The sovereignty of Belarus has never been questioned, but the sovereignty of the EU member states is very much compromised, and because of this, the EU member states are now bearing the consequences, some less and some more, depending on how capable and uncorrupt their politicians are. The example of Germany is obvious, where politicians lead policies against the interests of the state, which is slowly degrading and losing strength with the consequences of deindustrialization and recession and the tendency of depression.

I do understand Putin, Ukraine war has been a meat grinder for 2 years with little success for too much calls.
