Love the bangs and your new shorter nair. You look amazing!
ОтветитьLove the haircut, Shannon!❤
ОтветитьYour hair looks pretty! Thank you for recipes! They look delicious!! ❤
ОтветитьI always look forward to your videos on Sunday. I know I’m supposed to stay away from my phone first thing in the morning but your videos always give me a boost of energy and motivation to get started the day. Thank you Shannon.
ОтветитьYour new haircut looks great!❤
ОтветитьI watch your Sunday videos while getting ready for church. I use my headphones while everyone is still sleeping. Thank you for being my peaceful place
ОтветитьGreat video Shannon! You look great and love the new haircut, very pretty! The granola recipe looks delicious and so much more healthier!
ОтветитьAbsolutely love love love your new haircut especially the bangs!!!
ОтветитьMaybe try an oatmeal bread recipe to balance out the strong flavor of the hard red wheat? I use a recipe from the King Arthur website - the oats give some sweetness. It also has honey in it. I sometimes substitute oat flour (ground up oats) for part of the flour in muffin recipes. It's exciting to see your cooking and the kitchen renovation too!
ОтветитьAnother great video Shannon.
ОтветитьJust curious, do your boys not eat any meat/chicken/fish/eggs? Or do you cook animal protein for them separately? Love the hair!
ОтветитьI can’t get my bread to rise like bread made with processed flour
Ответить😊
ОтветитьI love that you are sharing more about how you eat and cooking. We am eating plant based and I love getting ideas from others who are trying to eat healthy and cooking their own food. I have made my own granola two or three times but I like your ideas for granola. Also… what a great idea to make the sauce the way you did for the pasta! Love this video! Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing.
ОтветитьI will try the granola recipe soon.
ОтветитьHi Shannon,
I wanted to ask if you would share the name of the background music? I love it so much!
I too am switching to fresh milled flour baked goods, so I especially enjoyed this video ❤
Such a great video. 🥰🙌
ОтветитьAt Costco there is a bag of keto granola which I love...all natural ingredients of nuts, seeds and coconut shavings...no high carb/sugar oatmeal or dates...love putting it on top of Greek yogurt. Also if you're interested they have a jar of mixed nut butter...smells and tastes like peanut butter butter composed of healthy nuts and seeds including omega 3s chia and flaxseeds.
ОтветитьGreat video Shannon!
ОтветитьIn your granola recipe, you don’t list cinnamon in ingredients but you say to add to date mixture. What amount of cinnamon?
ОтветитьBetty Crocker cookbook is a great place to get ideas for cooking meals. not just the internet, and dont forget there is people out here that have been cooking meals for many years and are willing to share recipes and ideas that you may never think of..... I havent had fast food for 3 years now and I dont miss it for a minute,,,, well, except some micky d fries once in awhile....lol .... I was tired of the chemicals and additives that make us sicker than we think
ОтветитьI think of cooking as an act of love for my family and friends.
Also, I recently found out most/if not all non-stick ceramic pots and pans have an added non-stick coating. It is advertised as safe; however, it is often the same coating used on regular non-stick pots and pans. I suggest everyone research before buying.
Instead I purchased stainless steel pans and purchased a roll of silicone matting that I cut to size for all my new pans. I saved money, it works great and I know it is safe!🙂💕
Love your hair cut light and bouncy beautiful lady ❤
ОтветитьLOVE the bangs.
ОтветитьLove the hair cut, very cute and sassy bangs!
The granola - you mentioned the cost to purchase from the store, just curious how much it cost to make the same amount, home made with better ingredients?
The veggie bowl looked so delicious, such a nice variety! Yes, subscribed and watching the kitchen build, how exciting for you and us.
Another great video, Shannon! I always enjoy your videos and I’m thankful that you are including us in your journey of the way you are preparing your food and eating. It’s hard to change the way we do these things. It takes a lot of time and patience which you have! I love watching you and Grant on the wood guru. Also, enjoying your kitchen remodel and how you explained it. Love the new hairstyle, but you are so cute and could wear your hair either way and look wonderful. And I know your beauty comes from within because you are such a kind soul. It comes across in the videos and the way you live your life. Have a very blessed day!❤
ОтветитьYou are way ahead of me in the total from scratch area. Its just a bit too time consuming in my old age; where I look for as healthy items as possible at the store.; like sourdough bread, when I get tired of the 2 day commitment to make the long ferment. We have as much as possible switched from the bad seed oils. You are doing a great job on switching to from scratch cooking and baking.
ОтветитьYour kids eat this way???
ОтветитьCute hair ✅
ОтветитьThe boys are all getting so tall! Obviously not a surprise but so fun to see.
ОтветитьFrugal Fit Mom grinds her own flour and makes bread. No oil no sugar. You might want to check it out.
ОтветитьI love your videos and the lifestyle you are sharing with us. I look forward to them and have just subscribed to your new channel as well. The way you are cooking from scratch is amazing and I am enthused to try the same. Your new hairstyle is very flattering and I love the fringe (bangs). You also look amazingly health and your video on how you lost the weight was also inspiring. From that video I got the impression you were cutting back on oils, but with this one, you said you were trying to go oil-free, which surprised me. You are such a smart woman and I know you do a lot of research on your eating and lifestyle, but oil-free is not a healthy choice. The body needs "healthy" oils to provide essential fatty acids that the body cannot produce itself, which are crucial for building cell membranes, supporting hormone production, absorbing fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K), insulating organs, and providing energy. I hope you will reconsider removing oils from your diet completely, and focus on the healthy oils instead (I use olive oil to cook and also to bake everything, even though the color and flavor changes things slightly). I hope you take this in the spirit of care and love. Looking forward to your next one so much!
ОтветитьGet a hold of Becky with Acre Homestead she is milling her own flour too and it experimenting with making bread... She can give you a few recipes that you may enjoy
ОтветитьI never add oil or sugar to my sourdough or yeast breads, I use bread flour, not home milled, I do think bread needs salt though, it doesn’t taste good without, to me anyway. Home made from real ingredients is already much better than shop bought, often ultra processed foods . You’re already doing great , keep up the good work ❤
ОтветитьChia seeds soaked in a bit of water are a great binder for breads and they add extra protein as a bonus!
ОтветитьThat granola looks so good i need to try it.
Put a paper towel in the bottom of your container with your fresh hurbs it will help to keep them from rotting, and they will last a little longer.
God bless you and your family 🙏🦋
Freshly milled flour drinks more liquid than store bought flour. I recently started using fresh milled flour and it’s a learning curve for sure but don’t give up 🙂
ОтветитьI believe you have lost enough weight that you may fit into some of the clothes you donated saying, "I'll never fit in that again."
ОтветитьYou look beautiful! 😊❤🙏
ОтветитьI need help learning to cook. Everything ends up tasting the same 😂😂😂
ОтветитьShannon, just a thought about where you're placing your bread to rise with the t-towel over the top and how the t-towel is spread out across the top of the hob and all the burners - not sure how old the hob is but potentially you could have a constantly burning pilot light that could catch fire to the t-towel and burn the place down. Even if you don't it's not safe practice. Sorry, I know you're a grown woman but it struck me as very odd and unsafe and I only say something out of concern for you and your family. I never miss an episode! Love your channel and happy to see you and Grant developing his channel further. Cheers~
ОтветитьThanks for sharing what you are making. We eat similar to you.
ОтветитьThanks for the kitchen motivation... my partner had an incident in the microwave because he's sick and out of it so it was good to get that cleaned and disinfected alongside you.
ОтветитьYour new hair do is really cute, Shannon. Course, I love your hair no matter what. ❤ Thanks for the granola recipe.
ОтветитьI'm inviting myself over for supper LOL I'm going to take notes on that sauce! I always joke to my husband that I like a bowl of vegetables with vegetables and vegetables... Your combination looks wonderful. I want to try the chick pea pasta. Since going vegetarian I just don't love regular pasta as much for how it makes my stomach feel. Currently we eat chick pea salad once a week if possible... It's my favorite❤
Granola is so pricey to purchase at the store so I started to make it years ago. Right now l make peanut butter ( or any nut butter ) granola bars that we love. You can choose what sweetener you want like pure maple syrup, honey et cetera I try not to make them very sweet but they are delicious. You can put whatever add in to your family prefers like chia seed or raisins or chocolate chips, etc cetera
So proud of you for the perseverance on making all of these little changes... Which I think is really Rare for moms with little kids to take time to do. It inspires me to make more changes! I ((will)) say that I believe it is also a process of your taste buds changing and adapting to not eating all of that sugar and excess junk that they put in our foods at the store. I feel like the longer I go, the quote "healthy tasting" stuff begins to just taste normal if that makes sense. Honestly, I begin to crave it over the non-homemade cuisines. It really is a flavor change that has to take place, I think. Sorry to ramble. It's just nice to see friends who enjoy eating some of the same things I do.😊 Happy tuesday!!
Loving the fringe/Bangs 😊
ОтветитьNice video, thank you!
ОтветитьI enjoy your videos. I think it's great you're cooking from scratch. You do need some fat in your diet.
ОтветитьHey Shannon, why don’t you take andmake a video about your weight loss and let us know what you ate and what you did I’m sure we would all enjoy it! PS love yourvideos
