DCS SUPERCARRIER UPDATE - WHAT CAN WE EXPECT???

Ok so just to be clear, this is all speculative click bait and ED has not said they are near releasing a super carrier update, only that they "working on it", is that correct?

Sorry man, but I completely disagree with this video. The Super Carrier has been out 4 years now, and ED is in no hurry to finish any of the features they are describing. I absolutely do NOT recommend it , as ED has little financial incentive to finish it. The fact that they are asking $39-$49 for this is a joke in my opinion, you can buy fully developed game for that amount of money, not a " module " with a very extremely limited features.

Even if it was " feature complete " I don't think it's even close to being worth the amount they are asking, let alone a price increase. I got it for 25 bucks too, and you know for that price it makes these add-on features a little more palatable. I still think a lot of these features should be added to the base game and current free carriers in DCS.

I still subscribed to your channel, and I really enjoyed your MIG-23, but regarding the SC, it's an easy " go around " for new players in my opinion.

Been using the SC module since release. These updates are fantastic!! I think the only thing I really wish they would add is the ability to shut down specific catapults from both the Air Boss station and the Mission Editor. I would love to set up missions with specific carrier configurations without having to do LUA scripting and stuff. Even if that doesn't come, I still love the module and don't think the sim would be the same without it.

Its the only way to fly the Hornet. But I still think following the glideslope and ball makes you land long. Perhaps an easy carrier landing mode would make it more accessible for beginners? Same comment regarding AAR.

It would be cool for them to cover Korean War and Vietnam War era Carriers eventually.

I wish they would add the USS Nimitz and the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. To have all the Nimitz Class in the pack would be an outstanding add-on to DCS.

I am looking forward to the aircraft/taxi directors to guide my jet on deck.

I got it with the 50% first time buyer discount. I don't use it all the time but it is worth getting.

I WANT TO WIN. Because it would help me make a final decision, between the F/A-18C and the F-15E Strike Eagle (MUDHEN). With the time required to properly learn each aircraft I have been completely torn on which one to get first. My first choice would be the F/A-18C, but if I chose it I would also have to have the Carrier Module "Obviously". So this win would Finalize my decision.

SC is boring.. it's a complete bitch to set up for mission editors. We need more control of aircraft placement and launching order.

when will the deck crew, guide us towards parking?

hopefully we will get it with more deck crew, decent atc, useful elevators and the ability to park the aircraft

Supercarrier is a great add-on, yes you can jump on the LSO platform in VR, its really awesome to sit there and watch aircraft recovery. Major need going forward is the more spawn locations and ways to allow more players to spawn while prepping the jet for launch. Would love to see the Airboss locatoin have some role in picking spawn locations for jets in a que.

Hello, Juice, I got say it is a good video and a bit of hope for the future. I've always been a DCS fanboy and an ED apologist, but in light of recent events I've lost all my confidence on ED and excitement for DCS. Just like it happened to you some months ago. We, the community, need to see some real improvements to the core game and the modules we own. There are too many unfulfilled promises and unfinished modules to count, the Supercarrier included. We, the customers, need to see that ED care about us and is not here only for quick cash grabs and then run away, leaving a trail of undeveloped modules behind. But your video made me have a little more patience and hope that things will turn out ok. I'm looking forward to see these new improvements being implemented and confidence on the developer restored.

I've had the super carrier module for a while now, and the artistic side of things in this video no where near look like mine. Mine are still, "meh" in comparison. When updates come out, do ALL modules get updated automatically, or do I have to update the modules separately, or do these details simply improve by adjusting the settings page? Also, how do you get these awesome camera views? Where can I find a list of functions to place/pan camera?? I would love to be able to get right on the deck and move the camera around, but I cant figure out the functions to do that.

Great Video - Supercarrier is an absolute must for any F/A18C or Naval jet Driver! Deck crew animation is awesome and gonna be improved soon. Using the PLAT cam in VR is a blast talking your buddies down in SRS! To Anyone sitting on the fence I'd say - You haven't lived until a yellow shirt has told you to unfold your wings! If you've put in the time learning the hornet and its systems you're doing yourself a major disservice not getting Supercarrier. ACLS and hands free traps are worth the time and effort on a dark case III.

Free update for current supercarrier owners?

I bought this addon when it was released in 2020 but never used it, because I only fly helicopters :)

i would like to get improved ATC communication. real marshal comms like case one stack etc.
everything is way too oversimplified
but ATC is a lackluster expeerience in whole DCS though

and they will never give us the thing we need most, the ability to get a push back to parking

I'm retired Navy I was on many ships including aircraft carrier
One thing I would like to see is the sea State much rougher than it is and also the Caesars transparent as they are in this game maybe even White Caps and and much bigger waves what also be like to be able to spot the planes anywhere method to the tie-down points would help that dramatically and that's the way they do it carrier anyway
Would also like to see the aircraft hangers becoming full so the AI cannot park the aircraft in the hangar being forced to park it on the deck which would make the deck much more chaotic which is much more true

And also something else that I noticed and this is probably just annoying to me because I was operations specialist
But when I look at the 48 and 49 radar spinning
The 49 radar rotates slower than the 48 radar 749 radar spends about half the speed that it is in the game right now at the 48 radar spins probably about twice the speed assist very annoying to me the reason for this and you probably don't know any of this but the 49 radar has a much bigger pulse repetition rate so it needs to slim slower because of it while 48 raiders a 3D radar and it rotates a lot faster and has a smaller pulse repetition rate because of it
Probably doesn't mean anything to any of you about it very much annoys me and it's probably something easy to fix

you dont think anyone serious about this sim can afford 30 bucks for a two year old dlc? why dont you give away a plastic coffee cup?
