Hello there! I wonder how many people know that Durge is now part of canon! But is he a Gen'Dai or not, that remains to be seen in the future later. But what important is that unlike in Legends, he survived the Clones Wars and continue to live during the Age of the Empire.

As a matter of facts, if i remember correctly, there were initial plans for rex himself to be alpha, you can defonetely see clear similarities in their armors, tho because filoni isn't too hardcore, he preferred a more mellow character and created rex, which is still badass, just not nearly as much as alpha 17

Alpha-17 was a good example of maximum efficiency in a commander, not a personality one can easily like, but a very effective soldier for an army to have.

I do miss the 'Alpha' troopers in modern Canon. Clone Wars did a good job of humanizing the standard clone. Seems like fertal story telling grounds to have a group of clones with much different personalities

When I first saw this character in the comics, I’ll be honest, I was impressed after hearing about him on this channel. One of the first ARC Troopers and the man that helped mold our favorite clone commanders into who they were.

What about the Null ARC’s? I’m not sure he can be the GOAT of the GAR especially competing with the Nulls. If he counts, shouldn’t they too?

I do love how Anakin gives Alpha 17 his nickname, maybe Steven universe was inspired by it since the conversation is very similar ones Steven has with gems he names usually taking parts of their title and ranks

2003 clones: seeing the battle of Jabim. we fought for 42 days in nonstop rain and storms that stopped our reinforcements from coming in. our walkers got dragged down in the mud and over 30 jedi died there all of this only to lose the battle.
