Cool.
ОтветитьNice! Pipe with ID +~1mm or less would make a good sleeve instead of holding alignment of the two dies with your hands. I've been thinking about doing something similar. Maybe start with melting my aluminum cans, copper and brass scrap into coin blanks or small bars. Fun way to stack and store base metals.

ОтветитьI may have had an ancestor who did this for William of Normandy. Fascinating business.
ОтветитьCan a professional ancient coin dealer tell the difference between the real/genuine coins and the kind of coins your making?
ОтветитьThat could be easy understanding even for a little kid....nowadays it is easy to do the die with laser, 3d printers and etc....how did they do the stamp and those small letters and numbers in hard metal...that's the point and the one million dollar question.
