I wish other organ music sounded this good, the closest I can find with this type of energy is Interstellar's Soundtrack.

There is no other church organ in the world that is able to match the sound and power of the one in Notre-Dame de Paris. The organ even made the Toccata sound bass boosted towards the end of the piece.

I had this at my Wedding August 1976 it's just incredible I first heard it at Princess Alexandra's in 1963 when I was ten and I made the decision that Day I was having it!!
During the Signing of the Register I chose Handel's Organ Concerto B-Flat Major Op 4 No 6.
Wonderful least I thought it was!

This, in my opinion, is one of the greatest organ performances ever uploaded to this website. I've been listening to it for years. I'm not sure if it's Latry's playing, the organ, the acoustics of the building, the microphone setup, or a combination of all of the above, but nothing else comes close. It's so unbelievably clear, I swear I can hear every single pipe. Incredible.

This is my favorite performance of this piece; the best pace, the best arrangement. E Power Biggs is good. Some play it too slow, Dianne Bish played it like it was a race. I imagine this instrument was lost in the fire. Thanks for sharing.

This song was played as my class proceeded out of the auditorium after our high school graduation. From the stage, the back doors were thrown open and you could see the trees and the garden through the auditorium, through the hallway outside, from the stage. I was one of the last people to exit and between hearing this music and seeing that little square of green get bigger and bigger as I walked towards what felt like the entire green earth through that square, I almost cried. It gave me chills. So triumphant and at turns agonized, or maybe that's just how I felt.

I love this organ (Cavaillé Coll famous manufacturer) and I love Notre-Dame and Paris where I was born. Did you know that this fantastic organ is old and modern at the same time because It is computurized since 1986. It can even play alone ! And every session can be recorded. Like that the organist can listen it' s own work and improve it.
Now I am waiting the renaissance of our favorite cathedral as every Parisians and the concerts coming with it and the masses too.

This works the same as morning caffeine. If you stand in a cathedral or synagogue and hear the full aid of it being played in person, you know what full sound feels like in your body. It's medicine AND art, and gives your brain a neurological supercharge.
