Fabulous rendition of the ending! Brilliant playing from M Latry.
ОтветитьCumming and crying
ОтветитьTHE MOST DIVINE PIECE OF MUSIC !! When I come to my end, please, please let me hear this….
ОтветитьToo fast. Unmusical. Loses all the drama with this breakneck tempo.
ОтветитьThis is God inspired, it must be. One of the most beautiful pieces of music ive ever heard. Its sounds like its from another world.
ОтветитьIf I was listening to this live I'd be on my knees 😮
ОтветитьParfait
ОтветитьEvery time I listen to this superb composition I feel joy in heart and soul.
ОтветитьI wish other organ music sounded this good, the closest I can find with this type of energy is Interstellar's Soundtrack.
ОтветитьSplendide toccata
ОтветитьThere is no other church organ in the world that is able to match the sound and power of the one in Notre-Dame de Paris. The organ even made the Toccata sound bass boosted towards the end of the piece.
Ответитьever notice that organists don't need sheet music for this? lol it's still a fun piece
ОтветитьMuffled
ОтветитьHow gloriously French! Etonnant! Best wishes for the restoration ♥️ 🇨🇵
ОтветитьOliver you played absolutely fabulously.
Thank you 💖
I had this at my Wedding August 1976 it's just incredible I first heard it at Princess Alexandra's in 1963 when I was ten and I made the decision that Day I was having it!!
During the Signing of the Register I chose Handel's Organ Concerto B-Flat Major Op 4 No 6.
Wonderful least I thought it was!
Powerful
ОтветитьGorgeous Now and Forever!!!❤❤❤
ОтветитьSur l'orgue de Notre Dame le morceau prend des allures vraiment grandioses
ОтветитьI was visiting the Cathedral on a Saturday afternoon in 1978 and out of the blue, the organist decided to play this as a practice piece - it had always been a special piece of music for me and on this day, I was transported and felt it was meant to be
ОтветитьAbsolutnie niesamowite, wykonanie mega sztos.
ОтветитьThis this this piece! Gives me chills. I just got an organ and it is my every day practice. Recording it for my funeral -my husband better carry me out of the church to it!!!!!! I might come back and take him with me if he does not honor my wishes!!!! Lol.
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьOutstanding performance. The sound quality was soooo good. Thank you!
ОтветитьUn moment intense , que du bonheur .
ОтветитьDi una sconfinata bellezza... le ance francesi hanno un tocco unico e inimitabile👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьOlivier Latry never disappoints!
ОтветитьSensationnel je voudrais pue on joue ça à mon enterrement
ОтветитьWild and beautiful!!❤
ОтветитьIt took me ages to find out what this piece of music was called, I've always loved it. Now I can listen to it all the time.😊
ОтветитьThe only time we get to hear this part of the piece is when the royal family use it as a recessional at royal events that capture the huge sound.
ОтветитьMighty and Wonderful Music
❤❤❤
This, in my opinion, is one of the greatest organ performances ever uploaded to this website. I've been listening to it for years. I'm not sure if it's Latry's playing, the organ, the acoustics of the building, the microphone setup, or a combination of all of the above, but nothing else comes close. It's so unbelievably clear, I swear I can hear every single pipe. Incredible.
ОтветитьThis is my favorite performance of this piece; the best pace, the best arrangement. E Power Biggs is good. Some play it too slow, Dianne Bish played it like it was a race. I imagine this instrument was lost in the fire. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьHands down my favourite rendition of this piece for many years.
ОтветитьVery good.
ОтветитьInsane!
The sound production is overwhelming!!
Thankyou Oliver!!!!I
Majestic and great sound ! In Rouen Ouen Kalevi Kiviniemi plays this too...I would say even more grand there. That organ really thunders.
ОтветитьClassic sortie de messe à Port Marly
ОтветитьGood on you for making the most of the pedal stops. Widor’s Tocatta without the pedal stops being let rip really ruins it for me!!
ОтветитьThis song was played as my class proceeded out of the auditorium after our high school graduation. From the stage, the back doors were thrown open and you could see the trees and the garden through the auditorium, through the hallway outside, from the stage. I was one of the last people to exit and between hearing this music and seeing that little square of green get bigger and bigger as I walked towards what felt like the entire green earth through that square, I almost cried. It gave me chills. So triumphant and at turns agonized, or maybe that's just how I felt.
ОтветитьI love this organ (Cavaillé Coll famous manufacturer) and I love Notre-Dame and Paris where I was born. Did you know that this fantastic organ is old and modern at the same time because It is computurized since 1986. It can even play alone ! And every session can be recorded. Like that the organist can listen it' s own work and improve it.
Now I am waiting the renaissance of our favorite cathedral as every Parisians and the concerts coming with it and the masses too.
This is much too fast a tempo. Technically impressive, but at the expense of the solemnity of the piece. Enjoyable nonetheless.
ОтветитьSó fast....
ОтветитьThis works the same as morning caffeine. If you stand in a cathedral or synagogue and hear the full aid of it being played in person, you know what full sound feels like in your body. It's medicine AND art, and gives your brain a neurological supercharge.
