For context, the race was declared time certain and the new final lap was the lap the first crash happened. The cars crossed the line, but the chequered flag wasn't shown. The second and third crashes occurred after the control line on what was technically the cool-down lap.

And in all of this… lachie ward went from 38th to 7th

That was like the average racing sim race on PC, when after the race is over, everyone crashes into each other for fun.

I think I just lost some brian cells from watching this absolute nonsense.
