High LDL is healthy, it’s there to support the body. It’s the oxidization of LDL by glucose that is the problem.

I have FH. With FH the body struggles to get rid of a build up of LDL I believe, so what do I say to my GP if my blood tests dont look good? Is coconut oil good for me or not do you think?

i find this quite compelling and he made some interesting points like energy systems, and we know cholesterol is used in repairing cells, so if you have a lot of damaged cells it could be higher, and also, if near death cholesterol could possibly be really high leading to all cause verdict.
However we also know, that sat fat paralyzes arteries. I personally get short of breath and have great reduction of exercise capacity if I eat ribs. 2 days of ribs and I lost nearly 10% exercise capacity.

My goal would be to get my cholesterol to go down from 245 to 199, the least, while usingthis cholesterol guide “Hοzantο Axy” (Google it). Luckily for us, in only a few weeks, I have it decreased to 216. I accomplished it with out doing main changes on my very own diet plan. .

I had a challenge by my Medical doctor to have my cholesterol lower to below 200 or else he preferred me to take a statin. No way did I like an additional drugs to take. And tried applying this cholesterol tutorial “Hοzantο Axy” (Google it) . To my delight, it is effective. It’s decreased to 200. I have warded off the flavour of supplements which are bothersome. .

Been following Dr Ken Berrys advise on keto for a few months. My Cholesterol went up 100 points, it’s 335, he said it would raise, but my HDL went from 45 to 78, and my triglycerides went from 129 to 95. I’ll retest in a few months.

I only see my doctor if I'm curious about my own discovery about health and the follow up required blood work or any other test to continue my discovery / research. Last time I went to talk about coronary artery calcium score , he was confused what it was . Seriously?!
I had blood work done, he knows I'm on ketogenic diet. He muttered under his nose, your cholesterol is high, I smiled, and my triglycerides are low, right ?! He just nodded ....

I got my blood test and my total cholesterol is 422, HDL cholesterol 47, Triglycerides 134, and LDL cholesterol 346. My doctor says that I’m in a danger zone and that I might get a heart attack or stroke. I said that I feel great and don’t feel anything wrong with my body. Btw, I’ve been on keto for 18 months now. I’m willing to send you my lab results and need someone who’s an expert in low carb diet take a look at my results.

There is no such thing as "high" cholesterol. Like all markers, it's an arbitrary number decided by the medical industry (usually big Pharma).
It has been lowered in recent years, making more people eligible for statins (funnily enough).
Read Dr Malcolm Kendrick's "The Great Cholesterol Con" for a detailed discussion.
Cholesterol is a hormone vital to health and is required in many bodily interactions, so much so, that the liver itself makes more, when dietary cholesterol drops.

I just can’t find an answer to my problem..i have FH , I can’t physically tolerate a statin so now not treating it. I did keto , I felt better and lost much weight and depression..however my dr said absolutely no keto so no longer doing it. Back to feeling horrible and low mood. Should I be on a stain or alternative treatment? I’m a middle aged female, I’m terrified to leave my daughter alone in life if I have a health crisis. Pls tell me if I can do keto and what I can do besides a statin to prolong my life. Thank you for any advice, my dr unfortunately isn’t much help.

Ben bikman talks about this when he explains about why to do a more carnivore style diet and get more protein.
His thesis is that : not to be afraid of ketosis numbers, insulin actually wasn't spiking if the fat eaten is high.
This is to maintain muscle mass.
1-1.5 grams per kilogram of body weight.

I am also a hyper responder, my mind is somewhat eased but not my doctors...went off statins for 3mo while manipulating keto diet with my metabolism and indeed LDLs went up to almost 300...now on another hiatus from statins for 6mo while continuing to learn about keto, my metabolism and cooking keto...have 3mo to go and curious about what Leo's are going to be. And whether I should try the hack to satisfy doctor or go straight up...? Honestly regardless, I do not ever want to be on statins ever again...1: it effects my liver! 2: it has affected my brain (memory/cognition)...no more statins. I believe there is a new scientific paper with correlation to diminishing of the brain via statins! [ Statins Pharmaceutical scam of the ages! ]

So reassuring to hear all this! Ive just joined the LMHR group because my LDL-c was 9.9n/mol! Low trigs and Low trigs /hdl ratio BMI 21. - i had fasted as i normally do at about 19hours though and i do eat fairly high fat and was drinking bullet proof coffee on the days prior, so that may have pushed up LDL. I now know the sweet spot is 12-14hrs. It all makes so much sense now! I've been carnivore for 21 months and healed from so many health issues, feel so healthy now, that i was worried my cholesterol numbers would be a deal breaker.
