ОтветитьI'll have to give this a try. Sometimes I just love eating a denser piece of bread. I'm thinking I wouldn't want to make a sandwich out of this, but just having a slice with butter or peanut butter would be awesome.

ОтветитьYears ago I purchased a wheat/grain grinding machine and I have a bucket of winter wheat, but I’ve had it for many years. I have never used it and it has just sat in my very cool pantry. Will it still be good?

I’ve had bananas ripening waiting to make your banana loaf. Sharing it with my sister. Your life stories are fascinating! You have done tremendous things in your life! ОтветитьMy goodness, I just made this bread and it's so good! I added SD discard to it, too...Moving forward, I think I'm going to mill either kamut, Einkorn or spelt, one of the Ancient Grains that are kind of difficult to knead, because that will make this all the more delicious, I believe -🎉🎉🎉🎉

ОтветитьOk, just made a batch of batter bread this morning and it is fantastic. I made it with fresh milled hard red fife organic wheat berries. Really happy with this result, both texture and taste, thanks Robyn.

My question is… Would it also work if the batter is mixed and put in the refrigerator overnight before baking once it’s back to room temperature? And have you ever made it using sunflower lecithin powder as an egg replacement? Thank you.
ОтветитьJust came out of the oven. My FIRST try at FMF and it is awesome! We agree it tastes somewhat like what you get at Saltgrass or Longhorn Steakhouse. I love the almost nutty flavor. I make my own butter and it was delicious with that but my grandson didn't like it so I put some pineapple preserves and BAM! LOL. Thanks you for this staple recipe!

ОтветитьHi Robyn, I’m somewhat new at baking breads, and not completely familiar with all the different types of flour, and results with using each of them. Can I use freshly milled hard red wheat berries exclusively in your recipe, and the loaf not turn out as too dense a texture?
