A very sad story & i can here that its upset you too after all your hard work. I cannot for the life of me understand why the customer would take advice from someone else when youve been the one looking after the pond. Theres a valuable lesson to be learnt here & its one that i here often. People are quick to take advice from people who dont necessarily know they are doing. For start, if your customer hasnt got any experience with the usage of PP then that person should not be recommending that as an option regardless of whether they have experience themselves. PP in my opinion can only be considered effective & safe to use when used with an ORP meter & safeguarded with the use of Hydrogen peroxide if any of the fish show any signs of distress. I can appreciate that people try to help in a bad situation with Koi ponds but they need to remember that its not there pond to destroy nor put in any kind of risk by advising unsafe usage of harsh treatments.
Devastating...
Too many chefs.
ОтветитьWhy on this Earth did she get someone other than yourself to visit her pond? Does she trust anyone? It’s a crying shame losing your beloved pets like this. She needs a lesson in KISS; keep it simple stupid.
ОтветитьWe also lost all of our koi around 50+ it’s devastating we have around 30+ small fish left we don’t understand why this happened 😢
ОтветитьShe doesn’t seem to be confident with you.
ОтветитьWe did something similar with my granny.
ОтветитьDid you know Koi swim in groups of four?
There's a pecking order, the A Koi is the leader and down the line, number four is to be sacrificed if attacked.... He's the D Koi...
I'll get my coat.......
My gran gave me Potassium permanganate to gargle with when I had a sore throat 🙈🙈
Awful story, poor owner and fish
I'm assuming there are valuable KOI in the water behind you how do you protect against things like Heron attacks and cats if it's not covered?
ОтветитьThese are beautiful creatures, they all look like they have individual personalities. I know nothing about these fish, why are they so expensive?
ОтветитьNo idea how this vid ended up ib my feed but I watched it anyway I found it interesting tho so I subbed,
ОтветитьThere's no cutting corners when keeping expensive koi, why did the owner not use the one person she knows and trusts?
ОтветитьWow only just come across your channel & sub’d ! Love koi absolutely stunning looking fish.
Ответить😢😢😢😢😢😢
ОтветитьMy dad's imported Japanese koi had babies afew months ago and needs a home for a few of them. I'm sure he'd give you some for free to help this lady. My bully poisoned his pond when I was at school so he knows exactly how it feels to watch koi you've had for 15 years that would hand feed all die and not be able to do anything to help. I am 100% sure he'd love to help
ОтветитьShouldn't they have a second 'hospital' pond for treatment as a hospital? Maybe you should delete how long they are away for...
ОтветитьHow sad.. I was just thinking how fish are little beings with awareness and a great deal of curiosity, for them to die like this is truly terrible for them, for you for the owner and family.. she should have got you to handle it. well.. hindsight eh. You must be furious, I feel for you, sounds like a right mess that should never have happened
Ответитьaww man thats so sad
ОтветитьThis came through my feed this early afternoon and WOW what an absolutely shite situation!! I can hear the sadness in ya voice. Gonna give you a follow and a thumbs up. Really want to hear any follow up. God bless good brotha!!
ОтветитьThis video just appeared for me. I ended up watching it all. Firstly I feel so bad for for the fish. Secondly you come across extremely well. Caring, not looking to name, shame or blame. I know it's way too late now and the lady will ask herself.the same question probably until her last breath, but why trust anyone else? Hope things got sorted.
ОтветитьI have 2 large Koi that need a new home your're more than welcome to check them out and take them for free
ОтветитьWhy didn’t she just leave it to you to get the treatment and do the work you must be very angry as well as upset I to love my fish in twenty years I’ve gone from believing that fish have no memory or feelings were today I know different fish are highly intelligent and have feelings and emotions I’ve seen it with my own eyes but you must be gutted and must feel very undermined almost insulted and the result is catastrophic for the koi owner she should of just stuck to you and your expertise for everything involving her fish had she you wouldn’t be heart broken today nor would she and the fish would all be alive
ОтветитьPrayers for the fish!
ОтветитьCovid
ОтветитьI always think if you have invested that much time and money you should learn to scrape your own fish. Especially if they have been doing it so long, don’t rely on other people. For filter maintenance etc, know how and what these chemicals do before using them etc. you need to be passionate about the whole hobby not just the nice bits. Very sad to hear.
ОтветитьI feel sorry for the fish. It's a sorry story of too many cooks.
ОтветитьNot sure why this came in my feed… I know nothing about keeping fish!
I do now a bit about business though, and when you find a trusted tradesman, professional etc, you stick with them.
Sounds like the customer, went off to save a few pennies and ended up costing themselves thousands. Make that make sense??
This guy is good to even contemplate trying to help these people out. Guess he’s passionate about the Koi.
Sad story.
So sad and eerie.😢
ОтветитьSad,but if they can afford a hundred grand for fish,i dont think they need donations mate
Ответитьat the end of the day if you keep fish in unnatural ponds things like this will happen
ОтветитьThank you for taking the time to do this video!!! Ppl like me need to hear this stuff.
Ответитьsad. i hope people learn from this.
ОтветитьOnly loser is the poor fish.
ОтветитьDevastating 😮😢
ОтветитьVery interesting video that was.the man obviously knows his stuff.
ОтветитьI dont understand why she would let anyone else near her pond when she has you for all her koi needs.
ОтветитьOh what a tragic loss. Beautifull fish.
ОтветитьReally hit home at the end with all those beauties cruising around
ОтветитьWhat a dear shame to hear this. Can see your a genuine person to take this on board when really it was completely out of your hands and not your fault in anyway. Very common mistake people make with over D aquariums little alone a pond that size with that value of fish...at least you've done the kind thing and re stocked it for them which I see you've done ❤
ОтветитьIts why so many leave the hobby sadly , i lost 27 Aoki fish and 12 dainichi fish all direct imports id picked out myself and kept on throughout years of grading and selling on , it was the 2007 floods that did it to us 😢
Ответитьstarted ballin when you mention her crying, i lost all but five of my koi due to power outage, agony, i feel her pain, so sad
ОтветитьFar too many armchair experts around that hear something, misunderstand and then regurgitate or pass on incorrectly what they think someone should do.
I still consider myself very much a novice when it comes to koi even though I’ve had them for years, one thing I know is that you don’t treat with any med unless you know for sure what you’re treating for and never overdose unless you are absolute you know what the potential effects are.
Ultimately the only person that lost out here was the owner, the person that gave bad advice will not be affected at all.
What upsets me the most with this is when you consider the journey those fish have taken, to be good enough to avoid the cull several times while thousands of their siblings didn’t, to be chosen from those that made the grade and shipped half way around the world, to be picked by the owner from potentially hundreds of others and grow on and be cared for, only to be killed off by very bad advice and a lack of caution by the owner.
I feel you man but zero sympathy for the owner she should have listened to your advice and told the dealers or whoever it was trying to up sell why have a guy and ignore what he says
ОтветитьWhat friends entrust a stranger to get a 2nd opinion?
ОтветитьWow, what a nightmare my heart goes out to her. She must feel terrible. Our fish are our babies.😢
ОтветитьWow, when you showed me or us the pond, my chin hit the ground and it’s still there😳
ОтветитьI’m a nephew to the lady who lost the koi, Shes my aunty and I just wanna say thank you for all your prays! We are holding up and getting through it 1 day at a time… Thanks for all the support we’re receiving, This has rocked our family and further afield but all your lovely sentiments and words have given us the strength to carry on… Once again Thank You for all your support 🙏🏻
ОтветитьWhy did the customer not wait for you to sort it out that is the main question here?
Ответить❤
