My utmost thanks and respect goes out to the brave and dedicated crews of all US subs. I could not imagine the sacrifice of months in a crowded space not seeing the sun, my friends, family, pets, hearing birds, enjoying walks in the woods, etc. All these sailors serve so that civilians such as myself can live in freedom and in peace. Thank you all US sailors.

No matter how entertaining this documentary is, these subs are super scary considering its firepower. Pray it’s never used!

Soviets had 10% more subs than the US by the mid 70's, but most of them were death traps, and they knew it. They had to battle attrition in order to try to stay in step with the US. They failed.

My dad used to take me down to the recruiter's office back in the 70s. He was in the Navy. And he was constantly trying to explain to me how much firepower these submarines had. I think the Nautilus was one of them. It might have been the only one that we had at the time I can't remember for sure.
But😮 you know until I watched this program I really didn't even come close to comprehending what he was saying.
He talked about how many missiles we had and how many warheads and everything. And then he would try to get the recruiters to confirm or deny certain things and they would say nope that's classified. My dad is gone now but I finally figured out what he was saying thanks to you.
I don't think I've ever seen any program this good that really explains how much power these nuclear missiles have. The depiction of these missiles re-entering the atmosphere and branching off into clusters and what not is really quite a mind blower. Submarines having tremendous capability, yeah I had no clue really. So thanks for this great program.
