Revival: 90s Vintage Urban Decay Fender Bender Nail Polish

Urban Decay was so much better in y2k

It looks like it's pretty close to a nail polish from the Polish brand Delia, the Size S series, number 242. I believe it has been discontinued some time ago but still can be bought. Very similar, Delia one seems to be more silver-ish.

My god, I LOVE that robin egg blue shade and the sheen just dials it up to 11!! I have to have either that bottle (and find a way to restore it) or find a modern dupe asap!!

I wanted Urban Decay nail polishes so much. But I was neither cool or confident enough to pull them off.

Beautiful color. I graduated from high school in 97 so I remember seeing the Urban Decay ads, but I don't remember ever seeing any in person. I lived in a rural area, so our options at the time were pretty limited.

I had a similar colored matching eyeshadow and nail polish from Urban Decay (I think it was Shattered?) when I was like 13… baby blue is so emblematic of the 90s for me.

It was, indeed, a whole different time. I've been buying Urban Decay since 1999. I don't really buy from them anymore, but I have a massive collection of eyeshadows and still exclusively use their 24/7 stick liner. One of my prized possessions is that I have at least one of every shadow packaging they ever released.

I regularly flash back to the shoebox full of polish I had in the 90s and threw away before a house move, because I thought that nail polish expired like food does - r.i.p. all of those Urban Decay and Hard Candy beauties 😪

Love that color. Btw, I filed my nails as yours, which I've come to like very much. I even thought my nails would be less apt to break. Wrong! Ugh, my hands are in water so much that it just didn't work for me. I was bummed over it. I also thought pointy shorties would eventually poke my eyes or something, but actually, no, I was very aware they were pointy, and I didn't really change how I used my fingers around anything. In fact, it was easier to type, I might add. I dont like the feel of gloves when my hands are in water doing dishes, so that idea was null. Oh well, my nails have always been on the weak side. Not a fan to wear polishes (cant tolerate the smell and w hands in water a lot, of course..blah blah blah) No biggie.

Those are my fav bottles. Hot Topic made polishes in those bottles too and while it feel weird polishing with such a long brush, I still love them.

For the curved brush, there might be a way to fix it: Synthetic brushes often unbend and revert to their original shape when held in hot (almost boiling) water. It restored many a paintbrush for me. Might also work on the polish brush.

The Maniology bottle caps definitely degrade when acetone gets on them. I tried to wipe nail polish off a green one recently to make it look presentable on video and now it has white marks all through the cap.

Does anyone know of a dupe for this color plz?
