Burgundy is the color of the season: trendy yet classic and timeless

Finally, the video about burgundy I've been patiently waiting for! :)
I’m interested in purchasing the Leandra skirt—it's been on my alert list since it sold out, and I’m still hopeful I’ll be able to get it someday. I wear EU 36 and am based in Europe, so hopefully that won’t be an issue.

As for the shoes, I’d go with whichever pair is more comfortable because both are gorgeous.

That more brownish burgundy, as in your bag, is called maroon or Cordovan (or Cordoban). The leather “burgundy” items I bought this year have been more in this Cordovan color, but they do vary quite a bit, from true purple-red, to dark, cool red, to brownish Cordovan/maroon. I find that the lighting in brand images makes them look brighter and more colorful, and less subtle and brown, than in natural light. Just FYI for those interested in buying leather clothes or accessories in this color range. I always have a leather bag, belt and footwear in this color. The tall boots in burgundy leather/suede are surprisingly difficult to find, considering how hot this color trend is, but I did finally find a pair last year. All these will get a good workout this autumn and winter🙂

Burgundy and dark khaki-green is a favorite combination of mine. Last autumn I bought a beautiful silk scarf that ties both of these colors together, and has some soft white in it. (Aspinal of London “Woodland” print). I’ve already worn it so much, as I already had these two colors in my wardrobe, they are two of my basics. Most combinations of reds/pinks and greens work great together as they are complementary colors, so long as they’re not the commercial “Christmassy” combination. I like to soften them with soft white because I have a lot less natural color than you do, Mila and can be overwhelmed by all winter-darks.

I love, love that floral tapestry-looking skirt, please wear it! It’s one of my favorite items that I’ve seen from your wardrobe and very classic. I wish I could buy it from you, but we’re different sizes.

I would never buy a shoe that pushes down on my toes, way too uncomfortable.

Woohooo 🎉burgundy 😅. I love burgundy. In my wardrobe it serves as a colour neutral (that basically means you can have ALL the pieces in that colour 😄). OMG the bag you found at the beginning & in the end - I have a very similar one which I bought about 20 years ago. I‘m gonna twin you on the slip skirt soonish - mine is sitting next to the sewing machine since August waiting to be shortened from maxi to midi 😅. I will do it tomorrow (!). Burgundy is one of my favourite colours 😊it is very flattering and versatile. The combinations with khaki, grey, navy and black are on rotation in my outfits.

Hi Mila, lovely video as per usual. I’d keep the pointed shoes because the square toes always double the foot size. Plus I can’t stand it when they squash the big toes, Idk about you, but I wouldn’t wear it much just because of that reason.

Amazing video Mila! Do keep the pointy toe slingbacks. They are more sleek and elegant. Also more classic. I always prefer sleeker shoes. Love the lipstick and nailpolish on you. If you are Looking for darker nailpolish, the Rouge Noir from Chanel is great. It's a very dark deep red. Nice for winter.

I personally like the square tip more, but in the comparison I think you look better in pointed ones. But comfort is what should be the most important thing for decision.

Love, love burgundy. It's one of my favorite fall colors. The pointed shoes are not my favorites--I feel like the pointed toe is a bit too aggressive, but you definitely want to make sure that your feet are comfortable.
