I'd like to see someone make a smart lock which houses all the palm/fingerprint/pinpad components in a companion camera doorbell instead of on the door. The lock itself can then look like an ordinary lock. They could communicate wirelessly with each other via a low power communication method like Zwave or Thread to send the lock/unlock commands. This setup would make the door itself look a lot cleaner and offload a lot of the power draw of the lock to the doorbell, which doesn't rely on battery power. And with the lock being a lot smaller and the smart part being a single universal doorbell unit, it would open the door to making smart locks for a lot of door styles that you can't currently get smart locks for due to size constraints.

1. The door lock scans your palm’s unique veins which cannot be replicated, ensuring exceptional security.
2. The device doesn’t recognize 3D hands, pictures, or videos.
3. Stores data locally for maximum protection.
