i must say "its early access" is no apology to me. It almost never happens that a bad early access title gets polished really good. How many games ive played and thought, meeeh good potential but still bad, i hope they fix it. and a few months later after only a few updates they go full release and call it a day. They totally abuse early access system and steam is just watching

I mean the same happened to cyberpunk and slowly it was becoming better until now it’s a good game

This looks nothing like the NMRiH I played back in the day. Where are the hoards of zombies? The game was supposed to make you feel like running was the only option, not whatever this bs is. This game was in development for so long I had higher expectations

I didn’t have my expectations high because I’ve learned that it never ends well and I’m glad I didn’t give my expectation to high, but I’m really sad because the first game was won the best zombie games I’ve ever played

Why is everyone crying? This is a 100 man Studio and they work on mutliple gemes XD So give it time and relax my guys... Many big studios ruin the games these days but for me "Tom Banner Studios" never was a big problem. And yeah it is a Early Access Game, so you risk to play the early state of the game (i hate early access for most of the games too) but this studio is as i said not big and they still try to bring us new/old games that we loved to play in the Half-Life Mod era. You dont need to play the early state and you dont need to give feedback to them, just wait for the full release xD

Edit: The best thing is you guys say every time the first no more room hell was better but no wonder how long it is out there, on the early stage it was clanky and bad too XD So just give it time and dont complain about everything xD And Big Studios has much bigger problems with laggs and server crashes hahaha It's so unbelievable that you guys flame a small studio that is much better then big stuidos hahaha

It definitely is waaaay too early access.

I mean it is early access, dont forget what that means. its not supposed to be an unbuggy masterpiece. with the early access title that means its a work in progress where you can buy in early and play as the development of the game goes farther along.

Just bought the game last night and played it for a few hours today. I’m so so so disappointed.
It’s nothing like the first game AT ALL. The zombies don’t even look like zombies. I was so confused on my first time playing because I thought it was another player, but then got smacked twice and finally realized the devs made them look exactly like normal people with very little detail. I loved the looks of the first games zombies because they looked the part without being overdone.
The combat is so bad. Worse than any game I’ve played in the past 5 years. Zombies will hit you from 20+ feet away and it makes zero sense. The spawns are insanely bad too. When I’m trying to complete a simple task and I use my gun a handful of zombies will just spawn in and show up out of no where. I’ll clear out 50 zombies and they still keep coming out within such a close distance too which makes my task 100000x harder. I refuse to kill them with melee weapons due to the hit box being absurd, and due to it taking 15+ hits to kill one zombie sometimes.

I really hope there’s mod support for this game if there’s ever a single player mode. I cant with this shit.

They also completely strayed away from the gameplay and mechanics as the first game which is just a basic common sense thing of what not to do for a sequel

Early Access is a fuckin hype and should be forbidden. Every company brings his shit on the market and call it "EarlyAccess" - I no longer support early access... Valve would have to regulate that early access is free. There are games for years in Early Access and never get ready. If the games were free, companies would rush to finish them or not release the crap at all. Thx for the review - this game is removed from wishlist...

You sound so salty. Network bandwidth problems can be really hard to diagnose pre-launch. Do not know how they implemented it but it might be that they didn't prepare for 15k concurrent players and need to adjust their strategy.

why is every single game we get now either online live service, or an extraction shooter? the first game gave such a depressing feeling displaying the start of the apocalypse and the atmosphere gave off dreadfulness. now its another copy and paste of something we've seen 1000 times. sad.

As far as I remember, there are kinds of infection features or something that if you're bitten there's a timer for that and even if you use meds to heal yourself, the time stills running too zombified.

As long as the first nmrih is still alive, thats all that matters to me. I was so disappointed.

The biggest dissapointment is not even technical state of this game, but whole idea behind it. NMRIH was a tribute to an old Romero's zombie movies. It was horror game basically. This doesn't feel like that, it's too acrade-like, looks more like parody of L4D series. A big L

i hope they do a cyberpunk 2077 on this game and completely change how the game is making it better, I bought it the moment it came out and holy shit I've never played a game so buggy, and then I found it was "early access"

Totally agree with Locke's steam review on the review bombing! Very toxic reviews has cause us to lose some pretty good early access titles. I have a few in my library I have been asked about multiple times of how to get the game and to see the Devs/ steam close it down due ridiculous complaints on early access games. This is very true and sometimes its politics or worse that causes us to lose some that just needed more patience from us. Oh well...

5 months later the game is a lot better, in honestly now a state that this should’ve launched with. Still some issues but remarkably better!

every L4D clone is the same half assed the og No More Room in Hell was just l4d but with more stuff kind of cause it had levels that were fun like one where you run around on ground to roof roof to roof plank map. it was l4d for the poor
