Newport County are a massive side. I think they could reach the EPL one day.
By the way, I strongly claim there should be a Celtic Club Cup of football.
This would involve sides from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Brittany, the Isle of Man, and Cornwall.
The Celtic lands add up to 20 million people. So this could be a big trophy.
It could involve all the Scottish Premier sides, plus the big Welsh sides of Cardiff City, Swansea City, Wrexham, Merthyr Town, and Newport County. Plus selected sides from the Welsh Premier, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man, Cornwall and Brittany.
There could be matches like Glasgow Celtic v Wrexham, Swansea City v Aberdeen, Cork City v Ross County, Cardiff City v Dundee United, Motherwell v the Isle of Man, Glasgow Rangers v Newport County, Hibernian v Nantes, Linfield v Heart of Midlothian, Truro City v St Johnstone, and Shamrock Rovers v Dundee United.
UEFA allowed Welsh and Irish sides in the Scottish Challenge Cup. So UEFA would allow this.
It could be a group stage trophy followed by a knockout round.
It would be on top of domestic and European football. It would be an additional trophy.
If they can have a cross border club trophy in rugby union involving sides from Wales, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and South Africa. I think a cross border Celtic club can happen.
