Detroit is not the most dangerous city in the world, USA, Michigan, the tri-county area, or southeast Michigan.

The bus did not "blow a red light". Not sure where you're from, but you can turn right on a red after coming to a stop.
...and you completely missed pretty much all of downtown altogether.

Good job showing improvement in Detroit, but all the murder talk is wrong. Per capita, Detroit is the 12th most dangerous city in the US. Louisville is 14, for reference. Highest murder rate? New Orleans. From USAFacts.

From the UK and hope to pay a visit to Detroit next year. My impressions from what I've read of the city and seen in videos is that sure there is crime there but what major city globally doesn't suffer the same problems? You just have to use your common sense when out and about, that is all. My home city of Southampton is none too safe at times, I can say... Additionally, Detroit appears to have a lovely and vibrant downtown area and a literal.plethora of tree lined suburbs - so not all bad, surely!😅

I would love to explore a lot of those really old buildings.

I wonder what it would take to make a living space out of some of these abandoned commercial buildings.

As for the speed bumps - put one tire on the end by the curb and miss it completely with that side of your vehicle.

You'll be able to traverse it at the speed limit with hardly any bump to it.

The opening overpass leads less than 1/2 to the house I lived in from 6th grade until after university. Right down Brookfield. On Lyndon. Edit: I kept watching and you toured through parts of Detroit that brought back a few memories...toward the end you drove past Alter Road. My friend from highschool and university (CCS) lived on Alter down cloer to East Warren Ave.

I am not convinced Detroit is dangerous, watching this video I see a deteriorate city, but there are still paved streets, working traffic lights, people on the sidewalks seem normal, not dangerous or scared, or drug addicts, or homeless. Perhaps there are some worse zones, I don't know. A real post apocalyptic street with dirt and zombies is the Skid Row in LA.

They could tear down half the houses, and buildings and start over again but Detroit will never be the same again when it was the richest city in America back in it's boom at a population of nearly 2 million people... It could with the right state, and city politicians could grow to a million people bring back some industrial to the city and lower the crime rate... But some of the land that has already been cleared grow community orchards, and gardens on it and set up markets...

I live here. Detroit is not even among the top twenty most dangerous cities in the world. The top 6 are all in Mexico. St. Louis and Baltimore make the top 20, all the rest are in other countries. Like all cities in the midwest where the primary industries were manufacturing, there are large areas where factory workers once lived that have been abandoned -- ever been to Cleveland? But Detroit has some beautiful residential areas too, which none of these "poverty porn" videos ever seem to visit.

Although it’s relaxing and entertaining to just “drive around” with you guys, your product would be greatly enhanced by doing basic research and structuring what you want to convey to folks. Clearly the passenger (wife/girlfriend) who’s actually from the Detroit area , just hopped in the seat and then “whatever”. Your BFF kept saying “is that all ?”.
Seriously.

What a change... That's all you can say after definitely expecting a shit hole .... For the most part, Detroit always been beautiful. Just been a lot of people just loving to hate on a predominant black city... We had Ups and Downs, but for the last 100 years. We've always been a big part in the top cities in this country. Why we don't get the respect and have a bunch of liars spread a bunch of lies to their friends who've never been here. But when they come, this is the type of stuff, they have to say if they have a camera. Detroit is a beautiful city..

I love this. This is what happens Most... time people come to Detroit and find out. Our city is definitely better than yours. We just get a bad rap because people love hating on a city. That's over 80% black, that's just the truth. In ben that way since the 70s, but we are the originators. Detroit versus everybody ....
