Thank you, I have just bought the game because of this review. I love turn based combat but I am sometimes put off by 'some' anime style games. I'm not saying they are bad, far from it. It's just not my taste and I'm glad they exist for other people who like it.
I have the more mainstream titles like Ni No Kuni and Persona 4 Golden for the Vita. This will be my first experience of Digimon and I'm looking forward to it.
If anyone could recommend me some similar type games which are really not so well known that I could try, for any platform or system, please let me know :)

Both game and ending was bull shit. I'll admit it was fun but I think I might prefer the fist game.

Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory can also be compared to past Digimon Story titles released for the Nintendo DS.

I'm having trouble I have some saved data on my ps4 of digimon CS:HM and I just got it on my vita how do I cross play. When I turn on my ps4 and I upload my data on the main menu it dosen't show up on the game menu when I press triangle

domination battle is stupid, opponent just need to attack you to move you from your point and for you to move them you need to defeat all of there digimon and on top of that they respawn next turn if you defeat them so best for you is to just be 40-50 levels higher than your opponent and you will have a chance to win

In short: the game is trash since it copies everything from the first one and adds little. Obectively.

I'm not so sure that I could bring myself to playing this one after platinuming the first. If most of the areas are just reused from the first one then I will probably give this a pass.

Just beat Persona 5 and was looking for more similar games to check out. I beat the first cyber sleuth and when this game came out I skipped it because of the protagonist's eyes on the cover. Silly reason isn't it? But now I see that's his normal look, so it's a definite skip.

In the long run, the reuse of assets has been even more beneficial since I assume it made porting two games into one collection for PC and Switch a bit easier.

And hey, it's nice that the original Cyber Sleuth ended up getting a few tweaks and the additional Digimon Hacker's Memory gave us

My question is Do I need to play the 1st game? I've played SMT4 Apocalypse and beat it before SMT4, so I was wondering if this was a similar situation

I was never a fan of the astetics of eden. In my opinion it was really bland. The game also takes way too long to get to the meat of the story.

Completed the first and this one 100% digimos, items, story, dlc content, cases, rankeds, skills. Everything and I have to say that the first one is more enjoyable when it comes to challenge and difficulty. This one (hackers memory) is easy AF. the last cup on coliseum offline is easy, secret dungeon last boss is real easy so... so yea overall easy without any challenge at all. You'll love the first one if havent played it yet since it was almost impossible to beat without using specific teams fighting against the hardest bosses in game. The demon lords or something like that. However here in hackers memory you have more digimons, a decent pvp balance ( the first one was broken so broken ). Up to you to choose. Another good thing hackers memory did giving buffs on some of the royal knights and nerf ulforceveedramon passive skill which broke the game. Alphamon Oryuken is now one of the best digimon in game. Which is good. In the first game believe it or not was really crap. One of the worst. Even diablomon without any farm stat upgrade was better than him so far.

Beat the frist one, excited to get the new one in a couple of days, got a copy for me and my nephew, the online vs got better but it would of been a better game if you can trade digimon

I honestly feel that reusing almost all the areas from the previous game was really lazy. I'm not saying it's a bad game but still, kinda tics me off a bit.

The shit graphics in the first game are understandable because they had to quickly port it from the ps vita to the ps4. But with the second game coming out 2 years after the first I was expecting better graphics, even if I had to pay more.

So...the first Cyber Sleuth you can pick a gender but the second one you don't. Sounds backwards to me but I'll still get it because i love the first one.

Ok review. Wish you would have completed the game before making your review though, and trying out the new megas. The Digimon they added, and the turns the story takes are amazing.
