Had a similar experience recently with Air India.Bad Food , long gaps between meals , worst service .
Air India is really disappointing.

My husband recently traveled from Delhi to Toronto with Air India & sadly had the most pathetic experience.
From Rude staff to stale food,dirty linen.He could completely relate to your experience and the torture Air India is making the travelers go through for a 14 hr long flight.

Air India flight from New York is slightly better than Toronto. I live in Ottawa and due to direct flight my parents travelled to India twice in Air India from Toronto. On their third visit, Air India Toronto was 3000 CAD of round trip from Delhi, while New York Air India on same dates was 1300 CAD. Since Toronto was 5 hours from Ottawa and New York was 7 hours, since I was saving 3400 CAD I chose New York. Since then my parents take Air India from New York and they mention airplane and service is slightly better than Air India from Toronto.
