I've rented in downtown Kirkland for a couple years now. Absolutely fantastic city. Super hope to settle down in the area permanently within the next few years, as I know it'll be worth the cost. I've never felt unsafe in Kirkland, which, as a woman, isn't an easy feat.

Stop trying to bring people here to make money off of them. The houses out here are at ripoff prices. Let me just say something to the pompous bag of rectally sourced- ethically harvested gas clusters inhabiting a salesman's body... Those of WE who have been here since our parents made us- those who made WE- which have been here since their parents made them- we sincerely don't need any more imported wastes of space clogging up our streets. We don't want anything to do with loser transplants or the "person" who might bring them 'round here and insist what a bargain it is to be gouged out of a million dollars (or more) for a tiny home which used to cost 150K.
We don't NEED any more idiots, who have ZERO understanding of the culture of the area. Bilge-rats, I'm sure you're aware, are these nasty rodents who sneak into places where they don't belong and then begin to choke out the native flora and fauna. Look, dingle berries clinging to the untrimmed butt-hairs of society- money doesn't mean much when you're no longer on the planet. So, think about what you do, and how you do it. If you're elbowing people out of your way so that you can make a nest and rear your daft (or soon to be daft) lizard-like hatchlings in a climate which doesn't bode well for your bloodlines- then please go back to wherever the hell you come from. Work remotely. Don't come here and ruin a decent place with your lack of humanity, culture, and general Karen-ized natures.
But ask yourself, when was the last time you TRULY felt like a part of a REAL community besides when you were a kid? Back when you could light off fireworks and run around in the woods and get away with all sorts of shenanigans with your inbred friends (hey, it's normal in the uk). The biggest mistake that non natives make when they come into a place they don't belong, is to disregard the locals and their families... Don't be a Karen. Don't be a Donny Dongbagel.
Worse yet, please don't be a person who attempts to make their living by trying to misrepresent the value of the smallest/littlest/most shriveled of land parcels/packages. They may appear to be bigger and worth more than they are. Please don't be swindled by folks of any type who may try and get you to come here when you don't really need to relocate.

The virus has taught us one thing for sure- working from home is the new norm. So stay at your home. We will all stay in ours. Unless you've come to be a part of our community, and REALLY take part in it- just stay where you are.
Money can buy lots of shit, but it can't buy class or character. And really, what matters at the end of the day- is this: "Are you a solid, trustworthy person who isn't a selfish waste of oxygen?" if not, well save yourself some time, or energy. If you are set on coming here, don't buy a house at a ripoff price. This area has also has HORRIBLE traffic thanks to the unbearable number of "people" who moved here and yet remain completely separate from any sense of community.
Please, if you do not understand the meaning of the word "neighborly" just stay in California/Mexico, if you come from a colder climate and you know what you are getting into- then come on over and don't bitch about the cold/rain. Please care about others and don't act like stuck up butt bags just because you don't have to worry about money. So many rich assholes live here already- new money need not apply, really. If you're 1st generation "uppercrust middleclass" you really don't have much to offer the area other than to be a weirdo creep who doesn't know any of their neighbors and yet expects them to bow down to you demands. Gated communitiy living is a pox on mankind, so, please just go live on a private island or something. The whole of mankind would be better off.
Yeah, I'm serious. People who usurp a whole area for their benefit are WORSE than Trump. That is a sad but true statement. If you don't understand the damage you cause when you enter into a home that doesn't belong to you- I seriously hope that the universe teaches you gently, instead of harshly.
Karma is nothing to be trifled with, and I mean every word in that sentence - Make it your priority in life to understand what you are doing and what the rebound actions may entail..
Don't just come into a zone and think it's yours. No place can be truly owned because man cannot exist indefinitely.

Kirkland sub-brand of Costco has become internationally known. If I tell people around the world that I live in Kirkland, they all say, "Kirkland like Costco?" LOL
