I've been thinking about going on a solo trip for a long while now. Might be therapeutic in a way, haha. Some nice one on one fun time on your own in a place that is often seen as just for friends and family. Might be interesting, thanks for the tips

Maybe Disney will start making less accomodations for singles. Perhapse a Disney capsule hotel or a shared room hostel style hotel

Very insightful video, thanks for the tips. I caught the Disney World bug recently when I started to seriously consider going once the Star Wars Galaxies Edge park is open, though I wouldn't be able to make it there for a couple of yrs at least. I'm glad you touched on the awkwardness/loneliness aspects, as they are the major parts that make me hesitant. I have been on three solo trips before, and sure each time those aspects of it certainly did affect the trip in some way. But at the end of the day you just roll with it, and be glad you did instead of regretting not doing it. I think for me personally it's because i'm an introverted older male, and let's be honest there is a bit of a stigma there. But again, do it & deal with it or don't and regret it.
I'm hoping to be able to afford staying on site to complete the experience. I love the idea of just catching a bus and suddenly you're at the Magic Kingdom. Maybe you could confirm what I hear quite a bit that on your own you do get through things faster? In my tentative plans for the tip I slotted in 10 days, basically 2 per park (inc Star Wars), but i'm thinking shaving a day or two off might work. Also, is the WIFI around the park reliable? Sorry for all the questions. :)

The thing I feel most nervous about to make solo trip (will be my first time) is to eat alone. Greetings from sweden.

I love table service solo, especially character dining. I can experience 4 of them for the price of a group of 4 doing 1. It's a much better bang for your buck.

I've done many trips solo. Disney and other. Some were just getting to location and a day or 2 by myself and then meet up with friends. But most of them are purely solo. I'm getting ready for my 2nd solo trip to Disney World and I've had 3 to disneyland.

Im going on my Solo Disney Trip next year to Celebrate my 30th bday on the Halloween parties, of both Universal and Disney! Gotta say you kind of inspired me to do it. I know I already commented that in another video of yours, but id doesnt hurt to say that again!!! haha
Beyond excited, since ive never done either of the Halloween Parties, and its been a dream for so long, and even though I still have over a year to accomplish that, the planning has been absolutely great. Just to think how much Ill enjoy some ME time, and to be able to do everything in my own time, is just amazing!!! So thanks for the inspiration. Oh, and I just became a part of the Facebook group. Ive been 9 times to Disney, but I love how we discover new things every day, and Im excited to see what the group has to offer!!!!

Thanks for sharing. I have thought about doing a solo vacation to WDW, but always end up going with my older sister ( who is a DVC Member) and other family members. We have made a lot of great memories together, but there are times I just like to go off and explore by myself. Then I end up feeling guilty because I wasn't participating in one of the group activities. Still it is on my Bucket List to do a WDW vacation solo. I was wondering if you made ADR's when going to any of the restaurants solo? You mentioned the Yachtsman Steakhouse, did you have a ADR for that?

I absolutely loved my solo trip i've just got back from, so thanks for inspiring me to do it :) These tips are perfect, I found exactly the same things. I met up with a few internet friends also bumped into a couple of people I follow too. I didn't notice though that I was stood right behind Ellie and Claire and didn't realise until I watched some of my vlog footage back. What am I like?!?

I found that vlogging the trip was also a good way to combat the loneliness, I did get a few weird looks not because I was solo but because I was vlogging (do you get the same?), also gotta love the people who photobomb my vlogs - had plenty of that! haha.

Am interested to hear your opinions on a solo Disney trip when you haven't got friends on the CRP, I wonder if your experience would be any different if you aren't hanging out with friends for a lot of the trip... Thanks again for inspiring me to go solo Charlotte :) x

No one is looking at you for travelling alone through Orlando airport security? There is an argument to say this is one benefit of being a woman. I got grilled big time on my solo trip, by three officers. It wasn't...comfortable.

Once that was over my solo trip was awesome :)

Never been solo because I’m afraid people will just look at me, like you said as a loser, and this has honestly helped given me confidence that when I do decide to go alone that no one really cares if you are by yourself.

I tend to go to Disneyland Paris mostly solo because I don"t live far away at all and I have an Annual Passport. I was quite scared the first time, but I actually really enjoy the times when I'm alone in the parks. I completely agree on the fact that you can do whatever you want (Rockn'rollercoaster six times in a row, oops) and don"t feel bad about it. The only thing I don't really do is table service restaurants like the Auberge, Bistrot de Rémy etc because I don't want to spend that long at a table on my own. Buffets are a good option though because you can manage your meal at your own pace, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone having issues while picking their meal plan.

A few years ago I was in 50s primetime with my Son ( single Mum trip ) and at the next table was a lovely young lad from Australia, he was solo tripping around the US, we got talking and spent about 2 hours just yaking away. It was lovely to hear all about his adventures and as Id been to WDW plenty I shared loads of little tips with him. We ended up hanging out the rest of the park day with him and had a great wee day, he was only 18 and my Son was 15 at the time so was great company for him too 😊

I loved my Solo trip this year. Didn't feel lonely at all. I spoke to so many people and I'm now friends with a couple on Facebook that I ended up spending a few hours with in AK. I Probably wouldn't have had all those interactions and met such lovely people had I not been solo. I just wish I could afford to go back and for longer. Like you said I was planned and organised and that relieved any thing that may have caused stress. And the guy at immigration was lovely there was a whole queue of people waiting and all he wanted to do was tell me his favourite rides. 😊
