Burt Bacharach ~ WOMAN

I am Mayuto Correa, I am the featured percussionist on this Album. It is a great honor for me to be part of this relevant music and to be friend of the great Burt Bacharach. It would be nice to see a video showing us playing live. It was a monumental scene, about 135 musicians being conducted by Burt. To say how big it was, there were 8 bass players playing together... My most favourite Burt album.... and I have them all! The depth of musicality in this album is just something else.. look right into the music and you will see pictures that you never thought existed. Perfect.

A vastly underrated album, WOMAN. Burt was going for a different style or concept. That's what great artists do. They change. People who didn't like, give it another listen.

Dazzling Burt...conducting this masterpiece of music!

This is the kind of music that reaches deep into both the mind and the soul.

I too was so happy to be part of this project - I wrote the lyric for Burt's song "There Is Time"...and sang the vocals on the concert performances, along with Ann White and Marti McCall...Libby Titus sang the solo on the song she'd written the lyrics for. It was recorded there live, with the Houston Symphony. Love hearing the music again!

Time signatures and different keys….it makes you crazy....but hé it is BURT.......and when you will take the time and listen to it then you know what a great composer he is and that he is very rare one. Thank you BURT for writing als those incredible songs and thank you TheNewFormat for posting this timeless masterpiece of music!

Could be the theme tune for a show about a glamorous lady cop, like the second Mrs Bacharach, Angie Dickinson
