Does it contain alcohol?
ОтветитьIs blackcurrant the same as raspberry? I notice it on the label
ОтветитьThere is still carmine color?
ОтветитьIt's weird seeing Vimto in a fancy packaging.
ОтветитьThe first ingredient is sugar. Not a healthy drink.
ОтветитьThanks for this; I must say I was wondering . . . Vimto is a big seller in the neighbourhood Walmart here in Canada and its stocked in the 'Middle East' aisle rather than the 'UK' food aisle. I was also surprised quite recently to note that the product we buy here is made in Saudi Arabia.
Regional/national preferences are always interesting. A few years ago I was intrigued to see that Ribena--which is an old-fashioned blackcurrant cordial--was a real crowd-pleaser in the Eastern Caribbean, even though that part of the world has some of the best fresh fruit in the world. For myself, I've always liked Vimto and usually have a bottle in the back of the 'fridge . . . it certainly goes down well on a hot day and would be an excellent drink to break a fast! :o)
Just tried the Vimto Jelly Babies for the first time today, ^_^.
ОтветитьThis is funny for me watching this as a Mancunian. 🤣

Ответитьi hate vimto! Yuck
ОтветитьGrew up Sunni Muslim in the States and never heard of it. Trying it for the first time in a can in soda form. Not bad, but really sugary. Reminds me of Hawaiian Punch.
ОтветитьThis is the most popular drink in the Arab world, I do not know why we do not drink it and we do not talk about it except in Ramadan, all social media platforms start making memes and pictures and talking about Vimto in Ramadan!
ОтветитьHere in Pak and India we have Rooh Afza or Jaam e Shereen As "Vimto"
ОтветитьLol I was drinking vimto while watching this
ОтветитьRamadan mubarak to all my muslim brothers and sisters
ОтветитьVimto's popularity is like the craze for Roohafzah in the subcontinent specially India and Pakistan. We can't imagine an iftaar without having a glass of chilled Roohafzah with it.
ОтветитьYou didn't actually explain how it became popular. It is imported into the ME. It's sweet. So are most other drinks.
ОтветитьThis is my dad’s favourite drink in Ramadan.
ОтветитьIt is so good
ОтветитьThis is the best drink I have ever had way better than coca cola
ОтветитьI’m doing it right now
ОтветитьFun fact : in a year 15 million bottles of Vimtos are sold but in Ramadan itself another 15 million are sold
ОтветитьI love it
