Science is hard. And beautiful. Sometimes. For the results my guesses are : expired products, products not "high quality", products of different brands therefore different results, fake hairs mixed with real ones, something else. And it's not because i'm french that i am a professional. I'm not.

I originally started following you for your cool hair and wig vids. You clearly enjoy working with hair as you say and it shows. Great vid! :) If you ever want to get into more hair experiments, wig reviews, tutorials, ect just know you do have fellow hair lovers following you also so don't feel like this is off course for your audience or anything. I know a lot of YTers are afraid to experiment with content themes so I'm just trying to help. Keep up the great work! :)

Great idea for a test, but as an autistic I'm being constantly distracted by the fact you've mugged Mickey for his shorts! ;) Maybe repeat the test with new chemicals, but you would have to buy it and that seems like more trouble than it's worth.

You didn't mess it up there is many people who say that lower volume developers bleach through color easier with less damage

To dilute a 40 vol to a 30 vol, you could mix developer with distilled water in a 3:1 ratio—3 parts developer, 1 part water.

Some hair extensions are not virgin hair as its been dyed before red dyes , henna which Is alot harder to take off during bleach

I lovelovelovelove that you posted this! 30 Volume ate my hair alive. 20 Volume was better but still harsh on my 48 year old thin fine hair. I just took a *huge risk* of trying 10 Volume with bleach on a test strip in the back under portion which had virgin brown roots, previously lightened with faded pink and and super pinked ends all in one hair strip. It lightened beautifully!!!! I was shocked. It was still yellow enough that I will have to put a certain type of pink over it, or tone it first, which defeats the purpose. But!! I am literally waiting for the amazon man to bring me a Schwarzkopf product that is supposed to "lift and tone" in one step. I am going to try it with 10....even though everything I've read, seen and heard says no way. I shall try. I shall report back. The third experiment I will try is 10 Vol with bleach on 2 different sessions to see if I can lift the yellow out enough that I wouldn't need toner action before pink. If so, it's on... :)))))) Thanks for sharing!

You see dark hair not because is fake . Cause is remy hair from diferent people hair. Virgin hair is one donor

All developers work the same just at a different strength and speed . So yes I recommend using 10 vol bc it’s the least damaging and gives the same results , just works slower

Oh and I noticed you are wearing shorts so it might be warm where you are near the open door + the sun/shade could have caused it to not turn correctly.
Heat does matter with this stuff. Also peroxide practically turns into water when left open for to long.

Actually i bleached my hair 2 time and use 10 volume developer. It took me into the orange, but my hair not damaged at all. And i bought 20 volume and now i have white yellow, and my hair still so good, just 1% damages even if i had a perm). To assume that it's which you choose for your hair. I have an asian hair. But I'm not recommended use 40% because it's hell

hydrogen peroxide turns to plain water with extended exposure to light, thats why the first aid peroxide is always in opaque bottles... so it was pretty silly of Wella to use a transparent bottle!

I love using 10 volume with bleach when i just need to remove dye build up or lighten a couple shades. Its a great color remover
