Oh my god. I just switched and tried this, I’m not old, but I have had both of my bicep muscle tendons snap (left and right from the same spot) and had the surgery to reconnect them) and my drive is on average 310-330 yards. Now that I’m lifting my left heel, same swing same power and I’m hitting it between 400-425 yards. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!
ОтветитьWhat a golf tip thanks
ОтветитьGreat advice and help in other areas of the golf swing.
ОтветитьThanks makes a lot of sense
Ответить👍👏👍👏
ОтветитьThank you for the great tips. Can't wait to get to the driving range tomorrow. I could use the extra yardage at my age 74.
ОтветитьYou can defy your age by lifting weights everyday
ОтветитьCan you please revisit your calculation 10mph sees an increase of 100 yds seems very wrong - more like 30 yds.
ОтветитьA guy in my league watched my swing and said I was a wigwam and a teepee. What? He paused and then said, "You're too tense!" lol
ОтветитьI’m new to your channel but watched this as a senior golfer and started to raise my left heel. Awesome! Felt so much easier to swing not hit and drove the ball really well today the first time of doing this. It also improved my tempo with my irons so a result all round. Thank you so much for this and I look forward to watching more of your channel. Neil
ОтветитьMoe Norman and Ben Hogan both feet grounded back and through impact.
ОтветитьThanks I have been struggling with this down the my clubes
ОтветитьI am 72 years of age I have been swinging this way for 2 years now with my driver and I have been down the middle and keeping up with my younger seniors . Does it go right or left yes but mostly in the middle. .. Still working on my irons. Good luck out there .Rockford, IL
ОтветитьExcellent tips particularly about not keeping the left heal grounded while taking the club back at the start of the swing. This move also helps in upper body movement.
ОтветитьNice video. A wise man once said, " You can't be too relaxed in the golf swing.'
ОтветитьWish I'd have come across this video months ago as it would have saved me so much frustration. Not only have I driven the ball 40 yds further it has improved the ball striking with my other clubs too. Certainly the last two rounds anyway. Long may it continue 🤞🏻 I've subscribed so i can get some more little nuggets. Thankyou.
ОтветитьIve tried adding the heel up. Its how i originally learned. But, i haven't done it for years. 5 handicap. I want to incorporate it back into my swing because the hard driving hips swing has ruined my back and knees. The only thing is, my timing is so far off and i feel uncoordinated doing it.😢
ОтветитьI will try this week and let you know. At 75 and 165lbs in my present game I concentrate on a few things 1 In back swing I make sure my shoulder touches my chin 2 i pause at the top 3 swing easy.. Result is 175 to 200 yds. Hope to write soon with better results.
ОтветитьWhat is the app your are using on your phone?
ОтветитьNo, Never Lift the Left foot on back swing. Completely wrong! Sorry. Rather ensure stance no more than shoulder length & adjust ball position for driver down to iron.
ОтветитьI'm flexible enough to be able to turn. Tried everything, still won't go anywhere
ОтветитьIs this also applicable to all the clubs in your bag as well? Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьTom Watson said in his book that Bill Melhorn had the best drill for improving your knee action.
ОтветитьThere is a guy called Justin Scott ( see his video)who sticks his left foot into a bucket to stop him lifting it, heh pretends the bucket is full of sand and if he lifts his foot, he will spill the sand! So there, you have two polar opposite ideas on what one should do with ones left foot! That's you tube for you!
ОтветитьDonal Joyce Galway Ireland, 81yrs old This is the best lesson I have seen for seniors, I am going to start enjoying my golf again'. Which I have not done for some time now. Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьWell, i've just come across your channel and although i've yet to try any of your techniques, the way you teach them is easy for me to understand which is great 👍. I'm 60 almost 7 feet tall and haven't played golf for over two decades now, trying to keep up with my 20 year old son. Lets see how my new lessons work out thanks to you.
ОтветитьCan't wait to try it. I'm 69 and haven't played for 3 plus years and trying to get back into it hasn't been easy or pretty. On some good pops ball feels light but on others ball and driver feel heavy, doesn't go anywhere.
ОтветитьEveryone this moves really works.... Bombs away... 🏌♂ Thank you so much :)
ОтветитьSarcopenia is a killer, and no drill is going to change it. 😢
ОтветитьTHANKS, For some reason I used to lift my left heal and recently I stopped, not sure why, But I lost at least 30 to 50 yards. I can’t wait to go back to letting my left heal come off the ground.
ОтветитьOne of the BEST tips ever for us older golfers!!! I like the fuller rotation, ease of swing, & less stress on my body, especially after coming off battling cancer twice. Thanks. Now if I can only remember to do it each time I tee it up lol. Haven't gained a lot of yards yet but maybe those will come the more I become comfortable with this new approach. Thanks again
ОтветитьGreat advice. It makes total sense. I'll try it tomorrow.
Ответитьgreat review, cant wait to give it practice. Many thanks
ОтветитьI Like this Video, I’m 77 years young and have noticed over the pass year my drives were getting shorter so of courseI was trying to swing harder, faster, so everything fell apart. Now I tried swinging softer and bang the distance came back with less work. THANKS. 😊
ОтветитьAh, should have known it is his bs grip and bs advice that every senior needs to know. Gotta love how the BS never ends.
ОтветитьYou demonstrate the driver, but how about irons.
ОтветитьNeeds more demonstrations and fewer words. Speeches are not OK.
ОтветитьTom Watson lifted his left heel as well.
ОтветитьForget this stuff. Get Swing the Clubhead by Earnest Jones. Your welcome.
ОтветитьThe PGA coaches still indoctrinate this heel on the ground. Most people lift their heel naturally when they first swing a club
ОтветитьWhat a great tip, brilliant advice. Thank you!😊
ОтветитьDriver speed of 90-93 mph will result in at least 225 yards. In the video you say your speed was around 91mph with a carry distance of 134-136 yards. WOW!! 134yds is a short par 3 yardage! A bogey golfer can hit a 7,8,or 9 nine 134yards. You’d be using only a driver and a putter 🤔🙄.
Then you said you gained 10mph by raising your heel to produce more of a back swing. I could agree with that. BUT!….a driver swing speed of 100-103 of a a 15 handicapper will result in a carry distance of between 250-275 yards. Would you please elaborate more on your yardages. If you can’t you’ve fooled a lot of people as to what swing speeds with a driver will do. 🤷♂️
At 80 yrs old its fun to play and be one of the top 10 golfers in the world by age
ОтветитьAwesome tip. Thank you
ОтветитьDo what he says and you are guaranteed to fuck up your swing. Seniors cannot make these fundamental changes after 50 years hitting balls, don't waste your time.
Ответитьdoes raising the left heel work on your irons as well?
ОтветитьDo you lift your heel for all clubs
ОтветитьGreat advice!
ОтветитьReally like your approach to the game. Have played at 2-7hcp … as I get older my body has limited my game. This Swing feels soooo much better… one question for you… any advice on shaft flex with this approach ? THANK YOU
