ОтветитьSomehow I feel like these people are part of my family.

ОтветитьTraditionalism Always Wins!
ОтветитьBack on early 80,s , my father told me how to use axe in order to build loghouse.
He was so good with axe that I could not make same accuracu or smooth surface with puukko.
Puukko, that means very sharp Finnish knife. He was patient with me to teach how axe should be used. Also always was very hard on fact that, all the tools you work with wood must be razor sharp !! I have built 2 cabins and 1 smokesauna with my own, with these learnings.
The axe is kind of universal tool for Finnish. Different shapes for needed use but basic axe works just about everything If it is sharp anynough.
ОтветитьA very cathartic video
ОтветитьSuch beautiful skills. I wonder what happens to the insulation once the moss dries off, between the log?

Ответить1200-luku on muutes 13th century. Oli käännetty 12th century.
Ответить👍🇫🇮🇺🇦🇸🇪
ОтветитьHow do they prevent termites?
ОтветитьIn the 90s, detached houses would not have looked like that. the log house was just made for this video
Ответитьi never get tired of this video 🙏
ОтветитьBom dia!
Trabalho fantástico.🙏🙏✌️
The early Finn's who settled southern New Jersey in the 1600s brought exactly this kind of craftsmanship with them.
ОтветитьKunnioitettavaa ammattitaitoa!
Ответитьsisu!
ОтветитьGod I love how skilled with the axes they are. They know just how to strike to efficiently make the joints.
ОтветитьDo you own this video or just steal it?
ОтветитьPlease send me craftsmen from Finland to help restore my house in NJ. Dare to dream!
ОтветитьThese Gentlemen are true Artist of their craft. BEST method I've ever seen. Tho' I wonder where the earlier man got the flat boards. LOL. It still was very interesting and informative.
ОтветитьWhat is the purpose of hewing the logs after they are up?
ОтветитьFantastic video. God bless our European brothers and sisters 🙏🙏
ОтветитьWhere are the strong independent women when it comes to such tasks???
ОтветитьSeeing that sawdust insulation and dirt floor makes me understand why they made mousetrap attachments for black powder pistols lol
ОтветитьWhat's the background music on this? I like it ☺️
ОтветитьI would love to work with these men to build a house, or anyone who can do this kind of building! My dream home!
ОтветитьI love videos like this
ОтветитьFinnish kinda sounds like Estonian but I also hear some Hungarian. Interesting language
ОтветитьExcellent video, and the vintage audio is great :) As an american born with Scandinavian ancestry, to be able to see the work and skills of the Finnish people is beautiful.
Ответить20 de estos en el mismo pueblo y se quedan sin bosque en una década.
Ответитьthe meant or not joke of them all partying and then cutting to the man chopping is hilarious
ОтветитьFinnish?! What an insult.
ОтветитьI dream to have a job like this. Modern technology gives me a headache. Everyone on the work sites drink too much caffeine and exhaust themselves even with machines!
ОтветитьThem Boy's are some log cabin buildin son of guns they know what they're doing
ОтветитьSo nice too see no chain saws. See so many videos saying building traditional log home using power tools and tractors and 16”circular saws
ОтветитьThey build this house in just 25 minutes.. No wonder the russians got their ass handed to them!
ОтветитьСпасибо авторам, я учусь по таким видео и повторяю.
ОтветитьWhen they say you don't need to understand the language to appreciate the beauty, I'm thinking they got that statement from watching amazing craftsmanship like this! Bravo 👏!! Years ago, I ordered a gift package from this channel.A gift set of how in detail to build a wood structure with a certain knotch. I'll just say the package it came in was incredible, enough said. I'm craving with so much desire to work with my hands again, idk It's just ingrained in a males crazy brain. Ty, for all the inspiration thru out the years.

ОтветитьHirsitalo on hyvaa talo. Dad built one like this when he was 70 years old using an axe, saw and chisels. He sharpened everything to razor sharp and whistled and sang in Finnish the whole time. Se oli kirvesmies.
