One of many Soviet and Eastern European cartoons leased to fill out the "Nutty Squirrels" TV package.

Apparently, this is a Russian cartoon, which make fits the odd (to an American) sensibility. The final credits led me to this paragraph on Wikipedia's article on "Nutty Squirrels Presents": "The original cartoons themselves would be purchased from overseas countries like Eastern Europe, by the Russian born, Fima Noveck, the President of Flamingo Telefilm Sales. After the original cartoons arrived in the United States, they would receive a new soundtrack, including English language and music, that would appeal to American children."

Ok, WHERE did this come from? I PRIDE myself on being a CARTOONIPHILE but I have NEVER seen the likes of this before. A PAPPLE?? Obviously ROTOSCOPED, and WEIRD.
