It’s obvious that you never filled the Zippo and you’re bias to the other lighter…..misleading video definitely!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬👎👎👎👎
ОтветитьWell it's Nov 2024 now and that $45-50 exotac is now $109 on Amazon
ОтветитьTambién puedes utilizar un encendedor bic, precio: 20 céntimos de euro... 😂😂
ОтветитьProblem with your 20% discount code. I went to purchase 2 of the TitanLights yesterday which put me over the $100 threshold for free shipping but when I entered your coupon code for 20% off the free shipping was removed and Exotac then charged me for shipping. I contacted Exotac an was told that if one uses a coupon then they do not get free shipping even if they would have otherwise qualified for fre shipping. I have never seen any business do this before and clearly it is not a 20% discount if they take away the free shipping. I was very upset and supprised by this policy and cancelled my order. Just a heads up that 20% is not 20% anymore.
ОтветитьClipper lighters for life!! Best lighter ever, cheap, reliable, refillable.
ОтветитьThey do make good after market seals for Zippo. And it will still be cheaper. They make a really nice one that is metal with a rubber gasket and rubber rectangle shaped o ring that also holds an extra flint.
ОтветитьI use both Zippo and Exotac TitanLIGHT. 2 is 1, 1 is none rule and it saved me a few times. Zippo became out of gas too fast (evaporate). When Exotac I can use for a long time.
ОтветитьExotac lighter is awesome I’ve had mine for a few years still
Lights up unbelievable love it!
Bic lighter 99 cents, and it floats!
ОтветитьWhat would be interesting to see is if those rubber inserts you can buy that replace the „hard“ cotton „lid“ u have to pull up to refuel the zippo in combination with the ranger band helps to further maximize life of one fueling
ОтветитьHow about wind resistance on the Exotac? That is a true advantage to the Zippo design.
ОтветитьThank you for your input. In real life use my thoughts differ from yours. The Exotac Titan is only different in that Zippo fuel evaporates much quicker and therefore is not a choice for back country use. However: 1) the Exotac also gobbled up fuel when used, even during light use. 2) if the Oring is corrupted, meaning torn or nicked, then the waterproof container no longer remains waterproof. 3) a 3 mph breeze consistently extinguished the flame on the Exotac… , that is an irritating feature. 4) when lit it had trouble staying lit even when protected from a breeze. 4) the body of the Exotac lighter did remain cooler than the Zippo when the flame stayed lit for more than 15 seconds. Zippo lit every-time and the flame was always strong. I will try a different fuel to see if that makes a difference but for me, until I see improvements in the Titan’s performance, the Exotac Titan is not my choice as a outback lighter. Matches still remain KING.
ОтветитьA Zippo is supposed to be USED, not tossed into a bug out bag and forgotten about for months.
ОтветитьZippo is old tech. During hunting season i fill it every two weeks.
I keep a bic knockout in my bags and carry a Zippo for nostalgia
Saw these on sale and this video both talked me out of buying one and into buying 2 lol. Got a new vehicle and have a peanut lighter on the old Keychain was going to buy this for the new Keychain and it's way to big. So I'm going to stick to the brass peanut lighter for the new vehicle Keychain. But I'm buying 2 of these ti live permanently in both vehicles glove box's. Size only matters in the pocket. It can be big as heck in the glove box and not matter lol.
ОтветитьI’ve carried a zippo since I was about 14, I’m 40 now. I love a zippo. The only problem with them is the evaporation of fuel. Not a problem if you use it daily and are around home to fill it. I’m getting a titan light just because I can and to keep in my hiking pack. I also use one for lighting a pipe so I Hope it’s suitable for that. Cheers and happy birthday
ОтветитьI bought two zippo lighters one for myself one for my son, thinking they would be great. My experience was the same as yours always dry never worked.
ОтветитьI think in the idea of zippo is you just carry it and use whatever fuel available to refill it, it is a crude simple design it can be easily fixed or tweaked back into working condition with just a plier, it's small and flat, you can scratch your name on it easily, it has no plastic or rubber part in it whatsoever all metal to metal, it is not a design to keep fuel in it for long time, the zippo is also far more simpler in operation and storing, in modern city landscape though carrying it around is obsolete because disposable lighters are more efficient and cheap, however if lifestyle is the reason you can replace the insert with better sealed ones by 3rd party manufacturer or convert it into butane, I mean zippo is like a blue jeans, you can wear it to work, to go to war, to go camping, fishing, hunting and it will last, and easily repairable, but obviously not the most optimal pants to do any specific trade other pants has more pockets, maybe other pants are more waterproof, but jeans is just the simplest of all that still works and the coolest looking without even trying, and you can wear it to town too in style
ОтветитьHi, and thanks for the great video. Do you happen to have and links or info on where to buy the ranger band for the Zippo?
Ответитьso february 20th is my birthday too !!
ОтветитьTry swapping cotton bacon in the zippo too
ОтветитьWhen you fill the Zippo cut a frezer bag around the bottom of the Zippo insert after you fill it up you will get better fuel consumption get an aluminum refill cell for zippo fule !
ОтветитьZippo has the cool factor going for it.
ОтветитьThese days if you are into modern tech an explorer style waterproof
Arc lighter an a cheap 30.000 mah solar powered charging bank which can be used to recharge the lighter your mobile phone and even a rechargable torch if you go into the wilds for 3 or four days
Ive never used the bic lighter when out in the woods because they don't like exterme weather conditions a zippo was my go to but with the Zippo you have a fuel problem as they always run out just when you need them and during the summer they are the hummer of lighters So an outdoor arc lighter might just slide in as a secondary lighter in my kit
ОтветитьThanks for the info. Appreciate your video.
ОтветитьThank you this was very helpful.
ОтветитьThanks for you video 👍
ОтветитьI like the Titan because its reliable and I know it will work. I like the Zippo for non-survival related things as it can be wielded as a more casual lighter too.
ОтветитьDon’t make the mistake of hanging it off your belt, I did and lost it the other day when walking!😢 It has got looser so when a I opened it, it was already loosened by a little bit, should have tried replacing the seal but…….🤷🏻♂️😩. Not a happy bunny now, £70 or do in the UK.
ОтветитьWow we share the same birthday awesome I knew I liked you for a reason
ОтветитьWhat size band do I need for the Zippo?
ОтветитьYeah I would lose that cap...
ОтветитьI just picked up an Exotac Titanlight, and it doesn't seem to stay lit for very long. Filled it up with the recommended 2 capfuls and then waited 10-15 minutes to light it. The flame will run strong for about 8-10 seconds, and then starts to die out, totally dying in around 15 seconds or so. Have to wait a bit before trying to re-light. Have you encountered these issues?
ОтветитьI’m watching this on 2/21/22, so Happy Birthday! And thanks for the great video - I just ordered a TitanLight.
ОтветитьHappy upcoming birthday!
ОтветитьMore comments over 8 months of use. It's useless, don't spend money.
EXOTAC Titanlight became almost useless. When You carry it in the pocket every day, it starts self-unscrewing eventually. And as the result - it can get dry in a week or two, as any Zippo.
Moreover, when I noticed it and stopped carrying Titanlight with me, refueled it and left it at home, it still refuses to start afrter few weeks of lying useless. Not even close to the zippo with a piece of bicycle wheel tube on it.
So Mr Plumber...which o rings fit a titanlight?😂...in case of emergency needs?
ОтветитьWhy not see how long each one would burn?
ОтветитьWow, you look old for a one-day old! JK. Thanks for this comparison. I bought the Exotac Fire Sleeve for the disposable lighters. Keep them dry and prevents accidental gas purging.
ОтветитьExotac titanlight sucks BIG TIME. I have 2. Really wanted to love it. It simply dosent make sense. A little bit of fluid and its overfilled and sets your hand and the whole lighter in fire. Too litle, and it lasts way to short time in comparison with how big the leighter is. Really played a LOT around with it. Waste of money.
Ответитьthank you!!!
ОтветитьThe Titan Light is now $113 on Amazon.
Ответитьhappy bday
ОтветитьHow is the TitanLight doing? Still fuel left?
ОтветитьJust got my Exotac Titanlight. Everything is good and You can even carry it on Your keychain - it's a little bigger then Zippo additional fuel container. But there is one huge incovinience - flint replacing procedure. I've checked it before fueled my lighter, wanted to know how everything works. And that brass pin doesn't work well at all. You gonna need a nail and a hammer to get it out and then to put it back in place. And You will really have to knock with the hammer, because if the pin doesn't go to his place completely, it wil be scratching the cap. I don't get it, why didn't the do it like Zippo, where You really can replace a flint with bare hands in one moment?
Strange that none of the bloggers mentioned that moment...
Still prefer a few Bic's in my pockets they last for decades
ОтветитьExotac is now part of my EDC....thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьDid you do the follow up
Ответить$127 on Amazon now.
