Drop Everything - Intel Battlemage Specs & Release Date

Just bought my rx 7900 xtx and i think im fine with it. Rdna 4 and Battlemage wont reach the Performance and Nvidia will prob be more expensive.

It sounds and looks good, and it is good when compared to the last generation. We will not know for sure until we find out. Intel needs to ask where NVIDIA and AMD are because, if it follows the same trend, the 5060 Ti should be equal to the 4070 at a price point of $400 or less. So, let's say the B770 is equal to the 5060 Ti. Would people rather buy Intel for a $50 price cut? I think not (maybe AMD cards, for sure, because of poor ray tracing). They would have to have a price cut closer to $100 and hope the B780 is equal to the 5070 at $400. Then, when they get a huge boost in the market, they can have more closely priced cards. If they can stay equal to at least AMD's high-range cards or better, it should be doable for sure. They might have to go Elon Musk Twitter style, removing all the unnecessary employees that large businesses like to accumulate overtime in the wrong places.

I heard that the b 770 and 780 might never release possibly being scraped. Just saying. This would be unfortunate.

If they offer a competitor to the 90 series from Nvidia, I'll consider it. But I don't use my PC just for gaming: It's a workstation and a production suite, so unless they can get close to whatever the 5090 specs are going to be, I'll be sticking with Nvidia and upgrading my 3090 to a 5090.

I think I'm out on Nvidia. 8 GB in this day and age on everything that isn't a halo product is ludicrous. Interesting specs on the 5xx series, but I'll be waiting to see what AMD does with the 8800xt. Whoever strikes first, whether it's Intel with the 700 series, or AMD with the 8800, that can offer me reasonable performance with a boost in VRAM that isn't a fucking blast furnace will win.

if the b780 is as good at it seems, i'll maybe switch, not that expensive and intel has been fixing their gpus problems. my 3070 is having vram problems at 1440p

I'll wait for the 256bit memory bus version. Been running an Arc a750 for almost 2 years, and love it. Intel updates the Arc drivers about every 1-2 weeks.

12gb is amateur hour for VRAM. If Intel can't beat Nvidia in performance, they should at least drop some high-VRAM cards for AI hobbyists. 16gb in 2025 is bare minimum.

Ive been a die hard Nvidia user since 3d cards first came out... but I really hope Intel pulls out a win here. Video card pricing is rediculous.

Wait. So they arrrre making a B770 and adding a 80 series around the same price. It’s gonna be a hard decision but hopefully there is no real difference besides slight graphic improvements because I’ve always wanted the A770 but having the B770 and 80 at the same price will generally make anyone go with the higher. We will see come reveal and testing time

Curious if the fixed the VR issues. I would upgrade my a770 to the b770 if they do.

A theoretical B770 or B780 would hopefully be a possible upgrade for a 1080 Ti.

Beating the low end of low end video crds?. Look, you're stupid to buy any 50, 60, or 70 nividia or ANY ATi card. You can find 100's of these cards for sale by people who realize what crap they are, then they finally buy an 80 or 90 card, THEN realize they should've bought Ti cards o begin with. So my question is why are you so excited about the smallest fish in the pond fighting over who's the smallest fish in the pond?

If intel can drop a 4080 performance card at around 300$ they will dominate the entire market. They will destroy everyone in micro sales.

To be honest the supposed B780 specs are looking awesome, imagine having around 4070S/4070Ti/3090 performance for 400$ and also 16GB of vram? It could be awesome if you consider buying a new gpu.
