I also love all of the literal translations of idioms that we get when reading the nomad script (my better 50%, you’re pulling my locomotive limb, etc). Whether it’s how they actually spoke or it’s a bad translation, I think it’s cute either way.

I swear getting sidetracked is a core mechanic of this game.

Quin once you're done with the game and have discovered everything you should absolutely check out a video called "22 minutes to save the universe" by The Great Review, he put so much work narrating the story of the game, the video is in French but has been translated very well! It's a long one but really worth a shot

QUIN! Completely unrelated to the game, but I’m researching supernovas right now and they’re really interesting, if you’re interested in actual space stuff I would look them up. Related to the game, I feel like the Nomai are a cult to the Eye or smth. Idk tho.

Genuinely impressive how many things Quin is able to figure out on his own, both for the massive goblin brain and also the game design allowing him to do so just based on observation.

The rate at which this man is brute forcing everything is so sad because he’s actively ruining the game for himself but it’s also so fucking funny because who needs lore when you can just slam your head into the current until it works

By the way, it is possible, and you get an achievement for it too. “Deep Impact”. But you gotta be going REALLY fast so you gotta start from real far away if you wanna do it

It's not completely necessary to launch your scout to take photos, the scout launcher has a photo mode by pressing left or right on the dpad!

I'm loving your playthrough. Not only I really like how you play, having a lot of interesting idea, getting sidetracked everytime and dying in dumb ways (the last two are requirements for a true experience of this game 😂), but I also enjoy how you talk, it's super entertaining

my understanding of this at the moment where @QuinBoBin finds the info on memory transferring is as follows´
context: the existing before and after u cross the black->white hole thing
when u die ur not dying
ur playing on both sides of the hole not simultaneously
its only not simultaneous because u experience it linerly even tho ur existing on both simultaneously

so when ur actually just constantly linearly updating the before hole experience and consequently the after hole experience
so ur not dying it updating a endless loop
endless but not static
ur evolving and with u all of it, until u solve it
what idk but it xD

QUIIIIIN there's actually an achievement for reaching the core of giant's deep with simply speed! You're just not gaining enough speed haha I think you have to do it from REALLY far away

They have story and context which would be good before you possibly play Metroid Prime 4

Discovering the fish mechanic through diagetic context is crazy tbh. Truly an enjoyable playthrough. (skipping most of the hearthian dialog is killing me tho)

Most puzzles in this game can also be solved by just brute forcing your way through it. Somehow, by sheer luck, in your attempt to brute force your way through the Giant’s Deep core, you’d managed to perfectly align yourself with the “solution” to the puzzle

You don't have to shoot your scout to take pictures. Also the universe is secretly a big donut and you have to eat it to win the game

i likely will never play outer wilds due to it being told to me to be a somewhat scary game (and admittedly, your playthrough had me scared at times), but your energy makes it such a good watch!

Nothing spoiler related but I wanted to tell you time stops if you are standing still while reading something. Super useful in space so you aren't drifting around awkwardly while trying to read and wasting oxygen.

I have returned also yes it is horror game I'm a chicken but big friggin space fish

Quin, you should do a breath of the wild challenge run where you can only use Sheikah armor and weapons to beat the game and you have to completely defeat the Yiga clan not only run through it. Since youre a god gamer I figured you could complete the challenge

The more I see people playing this game, the more I realise just how much of the game is filled with context clues. The anglerfish eyes are a new one to me. I wouldn't be surprised if it was possible to finish the game without using your translator once.
