The ped path is above the tunnel entrance node, that's why it's so finnicky with the height.
Building a park like Buttes Chaumont in Paris could be an interesting build...
I did it! finish watching the whole green beach playlist. and I just need to see the last two of clear water. It has been very entertaining and I have stayed up very late at night watching the videos hahaha but I love them. Keep it up and I hope to see the day when the map is full
ОтветитьName idea for the nature reserve:
Livestream Tsunami Memorial National Park
Love this video! I think it's great that you're focusing on nature stuff and allocating so much of the island to the nature reserve. Two things, as I just came back from visiting national parks:
-it's really ok if some paths are not levelled/fenced, as people know what to expect when hiking in the wilderness. Maybe use paths that are not self-leveling? It might look more realistic.
-I think you really need to add some parking to the nature reserve, otherwise it would be a nightmare for the nearby residents. I know the game doesn't really take that into account (though it should) but if you're going for realism, it's a necessary addition, especially without shuttles/public transportation. Imagine Yosemite Valley in the summer without parking, or Zion without shuttles. Nightmare!
Trees add entertainment
ОтветитьYou should name the park: El Parque de Vistas Verdes, which means the park of green views. The park’s name symbolizes the lush, green forests and hillsides upon which the park resides and it also correlates to the city’s name, Verde Beach.
ОтветитьNice guy, when you make a park, insure you create lots of parking spaces!!
ОтветитьThis makes me want to see CPP do a Planet Zoo build.
ОтветитьCould you please add an updated mod list for each of your series? I've been trying to get the same mods that you use so that I can use your videos to produce similar effects, but some of the mods have not been updated and are broken now.
ОтветитьI think the fire next to the forest, in the end will be a starting fire disaster...
ОтветитьI’m from a smaller town in Wisconsin. When you were taking about asphalt VS concrete I thought I’d bring up what places around me are doing! Since construction costs have been high and we don’t have the biggest state budget for roads, smaller towns have been switching their blacktop roads into Pea Gravel when they need to be redone. Now, if you’ve never had a pea gravel road made near you, you’d probably be confused as to why I’m saying “gravel” like it’s a good thing. But When you lay pea gravel on a road it usually takes a week or two, but after some time of cars and rollers going down the road the gravel becomes solid. As if you never removed the blacktop at all. It’s a Very useful and cost efficient way to make county roads look and feel nice.
Ответитьthat was exactly what big oil would say. I have a feeling we're dealing with a communist using nationalism to spout his big oil agenda here. WHATS YOUR BIG PLAN MR PLANNER! ILLUMINATI PERSON!
Ответитьi think a non-self-leveling path up to the bluff to make a difficult hiking trail and extending the park to include the volcano would be a great idea!
ОтветитьThis nature reserve is going to have some superb fires!
ОтветитьConcrete is pretty horrible stuff all round - the amount of CO2 involved is 🤯
ОтветитьHow long before this park goes up in flames???
ОтветитьI say you add quality of life mods to the build. A forest brush mod to help save time detailing.
ОтветитьI would have preferred if you had avoided going into climate politics - I have a lot of discussions with people about this on the internet and this is one place where people can go to recuperate from these and relax.
Having said that since you have publicised your view here, I can't help, but say that I strongly disagree. This pragmatism that you advocate for will lead to the suffering of millions of people. There will be more disruption to people by continuing on the path to 3 degrees, rather than rapidly divulging from oil and it's derivative products. We cannot live independently of the environment, we rely on it completely. A stable climate is the basis that all life on earth has thrived on.
I like the rock formation formation you placed above the campsites more than the one that was already there. It looks more natural to me.
ОтветитьI missed this one, but i really like it.
Ответитьnature reserve of this size would have a frontage road so its not facing the community/houses. being in the small area near civilization is fine but its gonna need overnight parking for backpackers and campers + day hikers and tourist/school groups.
Ответитьyou're a cool dude for stating your beliefs. I agree with your takes but I would say the same even if I didn't.
ОтветитьI like how "WhY iS tHeRe OiL" gets a rational lecture on society's dependence on oil derivatives instead of "because it's a game and it generates necessary income."
ОтветитьIf you use the base game walking path, it doesn't terrace the terrain around. You can do a narrow terrace if you want to render it even more realistic. Either way, it's clearly better than the car-allowing large trail that currently climb up the mountain.
ОтветитьPeople who get mad about oil in a video game. Lol
ОтветитьI think I must have missed something.... how did you get the Sims to climb those big rocks?
ОтветитьAs a little bit of a reply to what Phil said about streets being made of petrol refuse, here in Zeeland, the Netherlands, we have a little infrastructure company called H4A. I has been experimenting with sustainable roads, and a few years back, I visited their office, and they explained that their new roads have the appearance of normal asphalt roads, however, they drive better, quieter and they last up to 10 years longer than conventional roads. I don't remember what it was made of instead of oil, but I do remember that I thought it was a brilliant solution to many a problems.
ОтветитьI'm glad to see you designating so much of Palma de Fuego Island as a national park. In truth, it makes me a little sad to see any development there at all, but I get that leaving a whole island wouldn't make for good gameplay. It's still weird to me that, even though it's national park land, it still seems so developed and cultivated, with the leveled paths with fences and all the established camp sites. Was this a decision you made for the sake of gameplay, or having good episode content, or is this a common thing with US national parks, with lots of infrastructure and well established paths and campgrounds.
The pathside fences especially kind of surprise me. I'm so used to Aussie national parks that are usually just forest with some dirt paths and pretty much nothing else. Maybe a toilet block and picnic tables at the starts of the trails, and maybe a visitors' centre/ranger office if it's a really well-funded/special park. Otherwise they're pretty much just wild land that is intended to remain wilderness.
I lived in WV for a while so I'm used to seeing roads and paths cut through land and sharp cliffs like that, so I'll leave them if it looks natural, otherwise I smooth it out
Ответить"This density of trees feels really good" I'm sure every firefighter watching this is having some strong opinions lmao. Seriously, a fire helicopter depot is really really really needed for this park - or any other area without road access. I absolutely adore this series, but the constant fires really are an issue.
ОтветитьI think you forgot to add a road maintenance depot on this side of the river by the way.
Ответитьmy issue with the oil drilling here, is that according to the established lore, the Drake family was strongly against drilling since they were shafted by the patent process related to the drill their ancestor designed.
ОтветитьGreat job
ОтветитьFireworks at a nature reserve? What a fire hazard and also they sure scare the animals. :D
ОтветитьYou should check out the new land bridge/tunnel that opened this week In Houston’s memorial park conservancy! It is super nice, loved seeing you incorporate one in your build
ОтветитьDarn it was actually kinda cool you had such a tall walking path so that you could look out over the animal bridge
ОтветитьIt's a game. You don't have to aplogize or justify using oil in the game. If people want the game to move away from oil in 2183, they need to advocate to the developers who can make the happen. "Realism" means your cims can't pull their car out of their pocket.... so people are perfectly okay suspending realism in every game of cities.
ОтветитьGoing from 1st episode to here now, really can't say much but i enjoyed it very much! Gonna take it slowly, and really try to enjoy every single bit second on it
hope i could join with you all in latest episode soon, also, I really find how cpp acting for the sponsor is getting more natural here lmao
I'm so happy with The Graduate reference
ОтветитьNot to mention that oil is used as a lubricant and in medicine.
ОтветитьAnother problem with concrete roads: concrete uses sand, usually a set of specific varieties, and the while it's less specific than the sand for glass, it's still not just AND sand, and there are sand production is major problem, often with areas being strip-mined for the stuff.
Ответитьanyone who says we can live without coal or oil are super delusional and hypocritical when they're literally watching this video using a computer or phone that was made using those two resources as the primary reason why factories can even make the components and produce the energy needed to run the equipment to make such components.
ОтветитьI think the name of the park should be Height of Realisim Regional Park
ОтветитьLol I feel so nostalgic for this ‘era’ of CPP. Love the more free flowing and relaxed atmosphere of this time, compared to now. ❤
Ответить"we love you ccp" we say in unison
