the problem with his alibi about the call to Raj is that Raj immediately bought Goldman (more of) and Morgan Stanley and bank ETF shares. Gupta couldn't benefit from it directly without it being obvious, so he gave it to his MBA classmate and close friend instead.

Idk him, but to me, it sounds like he comes from such privilege/wealth that it makes him come across as "out of touch." He said he should be able to tender a doctor's note instead of being tested for TB upon entry into prison? Lol. He said "I was not like the others there [in prison]." Yikes. Even a massive shock/conviction/prison stint didn't do enough to break his ego.
