Many people don't see north Korea as a danger: they have never wiped out country nor a nation of people, they have never slaved a whole of people so why are they dangerous?

I really can't see why N.Korea would want a war, they have hardly any allies to stand a surviving chance, it would be suicide. I can only think that they must be reacting to something the US done to them recently that reminded them who calls the shots, and Korea are replying by looking strong. I haven't really looked into it nowhere near enough so it's just speculation.
