No mention of Yoko Minamino, Yui Asaka and Miho Nakayama? Along with Shizuko Kudo, they were known as the "Four Heavenly Idols" (アイドル四天王).
I also found it strange that you brought up city pop for seemingly no reason. Idols sang kayōkyoku (the forerunner to what is now known as J-Pop), not city pop (or "new music") sung by Taeko Ohnuki, Junko Ohashi, Minako Yoshida and ANRI.
Besides this and the ol' song and dance on how mean the entertainment industry is, it's a solid video.
