Luong Hue Trinh: THE APPEAL (2022) - a multimedia performance

Premiered at the outdoor Amphitheatre, Alliance Française Accra, Ghana
“Are our minds here when we are together? Are we peaceful when we talk about peace? Do we ruin, when we mention preservation? What do we preserve and how do we do it?” ‘

The Appeal’ is an intercultural and intermedia performance by Luong Hue Trinh. Site-specific, a fusion of traditional (Vietnam, Ghana) and experimental music (acoustic, electronics), jazz, and dance, video, spoken word/poetry, and scenography. ‘The Appeal’ is performed by artists from Ghana, Vietnam, Germany, and France.

📌 A production of Alliance Française Accra. With the support of the French Embassy to Ghana, IBIS Styles Hotel in Acca, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Culture in Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany, and media partners MX24 TV, Canal+ Ghana, YFM, and Wigal Ghana.
