Sweet. Mammalogy was one of my favorite classes back in my college years.
ОтветитьMammal of the gaps?
ОтветитьFascinating!
ОтветитьIncredible!
ОтветитьDown thumb taxonomic hair splitting.
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьOh, is that why all the best echolocators are mammals?
ОтветитьNice video. Short and sweet, and I felt like I learnt a little something.
ОтветитьMammals are cool.
ОтветитьSo, couldn't they have evolved the advanced ear structure separately? Like two separate evolutionary trees can also lead to the same, right?
ОтветитьI thought they knew this for a while. IDK I just remember hearing mammals originated in the Triassic alongside dinosaurs but were not commonplace until a couple million years after the extinction.
ОтветитьEars, shmears! Check if they have boobies! Prob solv.
ОтветитьThe triassic was so fascinating. Crocodilomorphs, dinosaurs and mammals all vying to dominate.
Basal mammals were the largest herbivores. Dinosaurs had the largest omnivores. Archosaurs dominated apex predators niches and medium sized herbivores niche. Both dinosaurs and mammals had medium sized predators.
Aaah gliding mammals already evolved since the mesozoic, and yet we only have one flying mammal today. Dis sucks.
