ОтветитьOf course must file an incident report
ОтветитьLol grabs the hand sanitizer right away.
ОтветитьGreat video.
ОтветитьThe guy just walked over the patient to get to the other side.😅
ОтветитьI like that they put her in an awkward position, and not just lying flat on the ground a convenient position.
ОтветитьShouldn't they have used a lifter to get her off the floor if she's so dizzy?
Ответить"White people, they fall in a sleeping possession" -Badlands Brooke
ОтветитьSo can you sit them up even if theres an injury of the spine?
ОтветитьShe called the doctor and gave information that she did not obtain herself.
ОтветитьWhy is she shaking her like she doesn't know if she is awake? That seems like it could cause more injury if she hurt her head or neck.
ОтветитьI think I’m going to learn here enjoying that video already
ОтветитьOmg this patient can play movie she acted real loll
ОтветитьThis scenario is exactly like they do in the hospital 🏥 very good guys
Ответитьwhat was the time of the event? I think I'm deaf cause I only heard Nurse Messam say 5 minutes before she called Dr. Youngblood.
ОтветитьShe fell because she was dizzy...check blood pressure when standing and lying. Might be postural. Thank you for the video.
ОтветитьI clicked on this thinking it would be something else but I am still leaving a comment: I had to take my grandmother to the hospital and after ascertaining that I lived with her the twit of a nurse asked her - in front of me - if she felt safe at home 🙄
ОтветитьAdukt kid arw the biggest block to seniors get early testing. 1. They ket their parent decide, letting symptoms grow. Adults kids are afraid of getting cut out of the will.
ОтветитьThey are they moving an injured person. How did she fall. Why
Is all this is necessary .she wasnt wearing an alarm. They allowed her too much independence. Based on her illness and age.
Uts 2020. Small alarms to start with .
What should we do should we call 911. In a hospital?
ОтветитьI thank the real professionals who know what they are doing. My mother died from being dropped from a Hoyer Lift, suffered internal bleeding, broken ribs at 95. Do you think that was witnessed. Please read court cases for explanations of accidents which are covered up. The hospital or institution is either understaffed or untrained with equipment.
ОтветитьNo doctor will come in 5 mins. Only once a day! Period. If they already came its usually too bad! No nurse comes in every hour! It wont happen. Ever!
Ответить"should I call 911" dkm
ОтветитьOne of few filmed scenarios available to observe! Thank you
ОтветитьThe Fall socks will saver her!
ОтветитьDr. Young Blood hahaha
ОтветитьWhere was the gait belt???
-A trained nurse's aid
Good job calling the doctor, maybe a little sooner with calling the doctor to get those orders going, good job asking for pain to rule out cspine injuries, what about Blood thinners?, why did she fall and get dizzy orthostatic, diabetic, EKG maybe?, medical hx? someone should be looking through her chart or someone familiar with this patient should be answering questions, overall a good video and common sense answers a lot of these questions. good job!
ОтветитьShouldn’t you start Neuro Checks since the fall is “unwitnessed” & the pt. hit her head?? Q15 min, Q 30 min, q 1 hr. etc. How about LOC & ROM checks?
ОтветитьIf nurse does not know what to do and does not remember she needs to excuse herself and observe the doctor arrived and find another nurse to replace her and advise the students.
ОтветитьWhy on earth would you assist a person up before ruling out hip fracture. It was unwitnessed.
ОтветитьYoo
Ответитьnon skid socks is inverted. smh
ОтветитьDizziness on standing/rising makes me think orthostatic hypotension. I’d love to see more follow up vitals
ОтветитьDaft Americans lol😆🤣
ОтветитьOne fall is like 8 hours of charting! So glad I'm retired! :-)
Ответитьالي جاي من طرف منال لايك
Ответитьbut no one made sure she was able to use the bathroom! lol
ОтветитьShe's alery and oriented x 3? I didn't see/ anyone ask her any questions to determine LOC.
ОтветитьThey didn’t even do ROM before they get him up😩
ОтветитьI believe all patients without relatives by their hospital bed side, should not be leave alone in their room by nurses. One nurse should be there to guide and watch over 24/7 until relatives come over to take care of them. We Filipinos, always have relatives watching over our sick family member in the hospital. No one leaves our sick loved one. At least one to stay by the sick 24/7. In a case of going to the bathroom, we are there to guide our sick loved one when nurses and doctor are away. However, if a person is living alone and no relatives or family to support them, a nurse or care giver should not leave a sick person alone in the room. So something like this won't get to happen. If something bad happened to this sick person, hospital can be sued for negligence. Consider the fact that this sick lady won't get worst from a fall, you guys are or will be in big trouble.
ОтветитьThere were several concerns regarding that assessment. #1 Was she was in a skilled care facility or hospital? #2 if in a skilled care facility and the "resident" said that she was in pain when they attempted to move her, they should have stopped their attempt and asked her to tell them where the pain was located as pain is always an indicator of a "possible fracture" when a fall is indicated. if so they would call 911 and let the paraments move her as to not cause any further possible injury. #3 the lights should have been turned OFF when the student nurse did her pupil assessment to correctly "gauge pupil size". #4 they didn't use a gait, which they should have when getting her off the floor. Never attempt getting a resident up off of the floor by lifting them up with your hands under their arm pits, which can result in injury to the resident and the person doing the lifting. #5 when she said that her head hurt, they should have checked her head for bruising, hematoma, bleeding b4 getting her up. There was probably more concerns that could have been listed but I didn't continue viewing.
Ответить"Should we call 911?" lol.
Ответитьfatmata jalloh
ОтветитьWow if nursing students don't v take advantage of these videos they are crazy. These are fantastic learning tools. I would have loved them when I was a student. I'm so jealous I wish I had these to watch . They are so precise and detailed. Great job.
ОтветитьPatients who have a high fall risk should not get out of the bed without assistance, such as a call button
ОтветитьVERY GOOD
