For example, don't make the mistake of thinking that home inspections happen on a pass or fail basis. The home inspection is in place so that a buyer knows what they're buying. Today I wanted the share the top three things you should know about home inspections.

Inspections are not a pass or fail. It's really just a buyer's opportunity to find out what's going on with a house before they purchase.
No home is perfect. We even recommend that people who are buying new construction homes order a home inspection. Contractors are human, and they're going to miss things during the building process. Worst case scenario, it just ends up being a punch list for the contractors at the end of the deal.
Inspectors write aggressive verbiage. There are two reasons for this. The first is that if something is wrong with the house, they want to write strong enough verbiage so that you can negotiate and make sure that a health or safety issue is addressed. The other reason for writing aggressive verbiage is to make sure they’re covered and that they have told you what could happen if certain issues are not addressed.
