Josh is awesome. A walking encyclopedia of pedals. A nice guy, and very interesting to listen to. Also love his sense of humor. If and when I'm bored, his videos always entertain me! :-) Ok, time for more beer, weed, and pizza time, lol.
ОтветитьI like the black T-shirt.
Ответитьwhat’s that red guitar?
ОтветитьPlease reissue the dod buzz box!!
ОтветитьWhat kind of guitar is the red one Josh plays slide on?
ОтветитьA much forgotten octave fuzz is the Ampeg Scrambler. That’s one I’d like to see built or reissued. Apparently the one pot on it blends the octave effect in with the fuzz for the option of “fuzz only” which I would use more than the octave mode. This was used by Jorma Kaukonen of Jefferson Airplane and on the first Cactus album by guitarist Jim McCarty.
ОтветитьA couple of ideas for new Legends Of Fuzz pedals: Ace Tone FM-3 Fuzz Master/Roland AF-100 BeeBaa Fuzz & Treble Booster; Fender Blender (4 Knob/2 Switch Version); Interfax HP-1 Harmonic Percolator; Maestro FZ-1 Fuzz Tone; Mosrite Fuzzrite; Shin-Ei Companion WF 8TR Fuzz Wah & the UMI Buzz Tone & Volume Expander
ОтветитьIbanez Standard Fuzz?
ОтветитьThe frantone peach fuzz. Can you make that one please
ОтветитьI came back here to beg..
Two years ago, we were promised a follow up series... please, JHS, bring it on... I'd go as far as suggest a Fuzzrite, some variant of Companion fuzz, a Jumbo Tone Bender (switchable to Supa-ToneBender?), Bee-Baa, Fender Blender, Jordan Bosstone, Wem PepBox...
I tried a Park Fuzz which is a Tonebender MK 3 clone. I A/B it to my JHS Bender (which is a Tonebender MK 3) and I couldn’t get over how different the two pedals are. The Bender is quite fat sounding and you need the tone control to increase the treble response. The Park Fuzz is clearer sounding and the tone control is needed to increase the bass response. The JHS Bender has more output than the Park Fuzz.
ОтветитьJosh, please make a version of the Zonk Machine🤞🏻
ОтветитьUse the fuzz circut from the Rolanx ad 50 double beax and call it the stooge after the Detroit band the Stooges that pedal has a wah attached just use the fuzz circut side with the three wave settings and make the setting button selectable the original sounds great
ОтветитьThey all have “Kansas City, USA” on them. But which Kansas City; which side of the Mississippi River?? In the State of Kansas or the State of Missouri?? Sincerely signed, State of Confusion { ;< ))
ОтветитьBoss hyper fuzz
ОтветитьThank you for making these.
ОтветитьWe want the second batch Josh!
ОтветитьSomeone do an episode on Josh’s hairstyles. Working title: “putting hair on it: a pedal makers hair and how it changed the face of music.”
ОтветитьWhat about the boxes of this series :)
ОтветитьJim Dunlop Mike Matthews and Michael Fuller are the geniuses of reissue Fuzz faces 100% Era Accurate..Jim Dunlop the master of the Dallas arbiter reissue fuzz face..
ОтветитьDo these need to be first in the signal change? Particularly looking at the supreme fuzz, not sure if some of the circuits could do well after a buffer
ОтветитьOk Josh, I know this thread is 2 years old and there’s like 1500 comments here but I think a Fuzz that’s really very overlooked is the Morley Power Wah Fuzz, I used to love setting the wah as a filter for the fuzz tone. Great tones out of that pedal. Just make it so the wah sweep is a knob controlled filter instead on a foot pedal and add it to the Legends of FUZZ!!!!!
ОтветитьOK, almost three years after these came out, picked up the Bender in a late night on-vacation-from work drunk Amazon purchase. This is absolutely the least regretted impulse buy I've ever made in my life. Instead of buyer's remorse I've got buyer's elation and validation. One worry I had was that the form factor, as cool as it looks, wouldn't sit on my board well, but fits perfectly. Just a little bit smaller than it looks in video. The knobs on the side are fine, I mean it's fuzz, tone, and volume, not really hard to tell where they're set. And of course the sound is every bit as fantastic as I was hoping for. I like the classic mode more than the JHS mod, but still it's good to have it on there. The classic mode sounds tremendous with my Mesa Boogie Fillmore. So glad I pulled the trigger on this. Thanks JHS, Amazon one day delivery, and Evan Williams!
Ответитьlol he said unit
ОтветитьHow close in circuitry/sound to the Superfuzz to the fuzz in the Shin-ei Fuzz wah?
ОтветитьAnalogman sun face nk275
ОтветитьWhat's the orange and white Fender Jazzmaster looking guitar that Josh is playing??
ОтветитьReplicate the LUXE 66 fuzz pedal
ОтветитьI really love these. Have never really considered Fuzz. Rhett has coverted me. Played one once in high school and didn't love it. Honestly, thought it sounded pretty terrible and hard to controle. Am just finally considering them now. Kinda torn between the Bender and the Smiley for my first but I am primarily a Blues Les Paul player and have heard the fuzz face doesn't sond great with humbuckers. Love my Fender guitars too but I want one I can use for both.
Ответитьalmost 4 years late but a Heathkit Fuzz circuit might be obscure enough for the line .
ОтветитьThat’s a cool bass
ОтветитьThese pedals are definitely not accessible to everybody
ОтветитьAny ideas for a way to get the John Wetton bass howl on the end of Larks’ Tongues in Aspic part 1? It’s an Italian made Jensen fuzz/wah from the 70s. A remake of that from JHS would be glorious! Make it guitar focused but have a “bass mode” switch to push slightly different frequencies. Would be nice to have a JHS pedal with a foot rocker too!
Ответитьog big muff
ОтветитьI was singing in a band in the eighties but didn't buy a guitar until 1991. The first effect I bought was the Russian Sovtek Electro Harmonix Big Muff with silver and blue face. Better than the green one.
ОтветитьHaving a team of musicians and engineers must make it so difficult to make circuits. Having a bread board and testing components easily must be hard. Copying a circuit must be hard in your business. I have to make the circuit and test it before I know how it sounds. Knowing how the different components effect the tone makes it easier. So when you say you nailed a clone, aren't you just using the same board and components? I would love to know. But believe me you have it easy. I can't even find out how to wire up a double throw 2 pole on on switch. Help
ОтветитьAnd remember when you say your pedals are cheap, double the price for the Australian market and you actually make expensive American pedals. I have to buy the clones shamelessly sold on Ali or some shiz. Remember that a cheap fuzz face or Boss pedal is 3000 in oz. Please bring out a export only series for the geographical superior countries. We need all our cash for the free doctors hospitals social security ect that Trump won't allow. I like how the American government treats it people like crap and basically sets them up to steal and sell drugs just to buy food and pay rent. Wow. While I sit here getting 500 a week to do nothing but play guitar and live. If you want to visit paradise and talk pedals come visit and I can give you a house for the gang and take you around the tropical islands and reef I call home. Amen
ОтветитьCircuit inside those pedals are made by robots.
ОтветитьI bought the Crimson. Sounds good. Very light weight compared to my Wattson and my Siete Santos.
ОтветитьWatching this again 3 years later. We need a Harmonic Percolator for Steve Albini.
ОтветитьIt’s time for a cosmetic change. Colored editions?
ОтветитьMy SF had a big black Pedal/ switch
Maybe 1971.iy was fantastic at the time
I have gone on to a Tech 21 Tri- OD
Used it for at least 20 years
It's fantastic with the DiNatzios pups in my M M Axis. 😀
The Headless, Bass....ist. 😂 Man of mystery and haunting mids.
Ответитьno tone bender mk 1.5 love. shame
ОтветитьLet's be frank, if pedal were made of wood, companies would sell you lie that wood of the pedal makes a difference
ОтветитьI got scammed on FB marketplace trying to buy a Mosrite Fuzzrite. I knew better but was blinded by vintage fuzz. I need a JHS Legends of Fuzz Fuzzrite to help me heal.😂. Unpainted raw metal enclosure would be awesome.
ОтветитьI just recently ran across your channel. I knew about the pedal brand but I’m hardly I’ve found the channel. But my comment is about I think it’ll be cool if you made a legends line of different effects as well suck as phasers, flange, chorus and delays. I think you can nail it
ОтветитьJust bought a NOTAKLÖN...can't wait for it to arrive...😎🍺💪🏼🔥
ОтветитьJosh, I hope you personally get this message. You should be embarrassed by this design and follow up support I needed to TRY to install a battery. I have a Bender but the foam block inside does not leave enough room to fit a standard 9V battery. Your support team sent a video instructing me to loosen the collar on the footswitch, which was supposed to allow the foam to move enough. It didn't move more than maybe 1/10" - not enough. So I loosened the collar a little more, which did nothing except to allow the LED to fall into the body. So I had to take the whole dam pedal apart to realign the led back to its cutout hole. Why should I need a battery - its not 1973 anymore? FWIW, I wanted to try a battery because the pedal is too noisy with anything boosting into it even on an isolated truetone CS7. I was looking forward to the other LOF pedals, but this will be my first and last. A video on how to install a battery, what a joke !! Fail.
Ответитьwhen you turned that volume up with the smiley i was sold!
