what do I squeeze to rev the engine? i kind of saw in the video, but not quite sure. thanks!
Ответитьwould you still top off radiator even if the reservoir was full before starting this procedure
ОтветитьQuick question, aren't you bend the hose connecting to the coolant reservoir so that it will not suck air or coolant from the reservoir while performing this task?
ОтветитьThanks for the information
Ответитьhey Eric, I got a 96 Sebring and flushed the whole cooling system. Water does flow freely through the heater core. I attached some of those tea valves and ran system water only through the heater core. I still got no heat in the cab I just fixed the I put a new climate control in the control seem to be moving freely. The recirculation one is kind of stuck. I have to look at that it's acting weird but I have not been able to get any heat in this car. It has the 2.5 L V-6 and I guess it's a pressurized coolant system. I can't find the bleeder valve on this car but it's the GX a convertible.
ОтветитьI changed out my radiator. I did not do this. I destroyed my engine after driving 2000 miles. Expensive. The engine was at normal temperature, but radiator was cold.
ОтветитьDoes it have to be jacked up??
ОтветитьThanks so much u have no idea how much this video helped me
ОтветитьI applied same procedures but am wondering that water on yellow bot returned back to the coolant plastic reservoir that’s happened only when I press on gas pedal to increase rpm ! Then the coolant water reservoir is above the F level ! Any suggestions please
ОтветитьWhen it starts rising too much I have to put the cap on? Because I lost all my coolant and it got too hot that I had to shut the car off
ОтветитьYou're the phucking best
ОтветитьSaved my ass, now I know it's not the heater core! Ty!
ОтветитьThe coolant temperature switch by the thermostat and the one in front of engine where the upper hose connect, are these the same like part number wise for 95 accord?
ОтветитьHow long can air be stuck in the system? Days, weeks, months... Years?
ОтветитьWife's 08 Pacifica would not blow hot air. Looked under hood and for some reason(knucklehead service dude?) the Cap was not on the coolant reservoir. Luckily it had come to rest were I could find it. Filled reservoir up to line and now car has hot air. QUESTION: can I expect air pockets to interupt hot air?
Ответитьhow about on a 04 civic ????
ОтветитьSo it’s not necessary to elevate the front end?
Ответить1995 Honda Accord... My idle RPM was going up and down when my car got warm. So I did the bleed.. Ran it for 20 minutes, so far so good. Idle is normal. Thank you.
ОтветитьDid this method and everything went nicely...at first. Had a nice bubble going then bubbling got overly violent, spray out and around the funnel in a three foot radius. Thermostat? Head gasket? I have both heat and ac. I just replaced the radiator, could a huge airpocket cause it? Should I try burping again? I realize now I should have checked the thermostat while I did the radiator but im new to this. I have a subaru outback 2008 btw. Thanks for any input. Also, water pump was replaced within the last couple years but i did not check that either
ОтветитьHey thanks man we are on it now just needed to locate it. Spot on video you're legit
ОтветитьSound like Eric the car guys video ! Lol
Ответитьexcept from the problem of head gasket . what can cause air into the cooling system
ОтветитьI did this and nothing happened except coolant overflowed all over my apartment driveway. My landlords gonna kill me! Thanks for the great automotive advice :)
ОтветитьCan you get the air out with one of those Stant radiator caps that have the red thing to lift and release pressure. When the car is hot, turn it off, lift red valve. Then blup, blup, blup the bubbles and air go into the reservoir tank. Or no??
Ответитьalso have a 2007 nissan sentra, can i use generic coolant or go have to use nissans oem coolant?
Ответитьdo you recommend the same procedure when flushing with distilled water? or should I just replace coolant without a flush? my car is 1p yes old and never had it,s coolant swapped.
ОтветитьI think someone bled your soul out of your petcock
Ответить06 ford Escape. Had a Garage replace transmission. Everything seemed ok till went to turn heat on. NO Heat. took it back said My heat don't work. Service Manager said. You need a heater core and its going to cost a lot of money. I said My heat worked when I brought it here. I googled no heat before I came and it said theres probably air in the lines if You just had work done.He says we don't have the equipment to bleed the line and if there was air in them it should have worked out by now. Then he says we didn't mess with or do anything to your heating system. replacing the transmission doesn't effect it. He has on my bill 20.95 for antifreeze? Help Me please.
ОтветитьDear Mr. Eric;
could you please make a video of how to use automatic air vents on coolant circuits just to take off the air bubbles automatically from the system.
thanks
I wonder why we need to open the bleeding screw and close it and keep filling the radiator until the coolant visible in the funnel? why not just ignore the bleeding screw and keep filling the funnel until the coolant is visible.
Ответитьthank you. this helped so much. i didnt even need the funnel to release the air either.
ОтветитьMy 96 Explorer with the 4.0L OHV never heated up right, gauge always swings. Confirmed temp with IR thermometer, scan tool, and dash gauge. Two motorcraft tstats, never go above 186, cycle at 174 (barley touches the bottom of the thermometer icon). Gauge never reaches center. Tstat rating says `190 or 197. Was like this 60K miles, since I got it, never lost a drop of coolant. Tried different methods of burping, used funnel, squeezed hoses, seems there are always bubbles coming out when I squeeze upper hose. No bubbles otherwise. Thinking maybe steam formation, also tested for bad HG. This engine is weird, no external bypass, there was some TSB with a kit that is not made anymore. Never bought the kit because it was like $150 and the ford tech I asked there said it will run forever like that and don't waste money. That has to be a band aid masking some other problem. Maybe I'll try a stant stat.
Ответитьhey bro I have a 2001 is300 but when I turn on my heat only the passenger vent gives warm air and all the others are cold
ОтветитьAwesome vid!
ОтветитьHello, I'm having trouble with chevy Silverado 1500 2wd 2001 and I replaced coolant but heater not working. How do you bleed air from this type of unit?
ОтветитьHow long do you wait on the fans? say if its been idling for 25 minutes and it still didnt cut on, its about 50°F out
ОтветитьBleeder valve is like driving to work and you hit all green lights
Ответитьomg your a life savior keep up the good work
Ответитьthis work the same way on a 97 Integra?
Ответитьgood engine for a turbo
Ответитьi installed a new radiator on my car, thurmastat open and my air conditioner blows cold and hot air. the only problem is that my fans dont turn on automatically. what can i do to fix this problem ?
ОтветитьThanks man ..you look like the main character in office space
Ответитьwhat happens when the funnel is full of coolant and you need to remove it? have it spill all over the engine?
ОтветитьGuys, the whole episode of trapping excess coolant in the funnel is absolutely unnecessary. I have no idea which bright mechanic initiated such bright practice! Just pour the coolant in the radiator to the brim. Remove the funnel if u r using one and just run the car. While the car starts heating, the excess coolant and bubbles start flowing to the reservoir tank. The reservoir tank is engineered and installed for this purpose. I always change the coolant this way. Let excess coolant fluid flow through the hole at the top of the radiator neck to the reservoir, wa ssalam amk
ОтветитьAren't you supposed to jack up the front end or park on a hill to where your front end is higher than the rear? That is so the air bubbles can find it's way out by flowing out the highest part of the car.
ОтветитьWhen the upper hose gets hot that means your thermostat is open. the upper hose only gets coolant when the thermostat opens.
ОтветитьThanks, helps a lot.
Ответитьwhat accent is this? I've never heard this before. Turkish?
Ответитьnice
