The first half of the season was building towards something unique. Nevertheless, a solid season.

OZ could not let Victor alive, OZ just saw what Vic pull off - Vic was able to get the seconds to turn on their bosses - Oz need it to kill him also to send message to those who took on their bosses 😮

Vic wasn’t fit for the Gotham City that’s coming. He was too soft. He was getting killed and wouldn’t even put up a fight. Dude just got stabbed in the abdomen he coulda poked at that shit or pulled the staples out. Vic was on borrowed time and coulda died at least 3 times but sympathy saved him each time. He was lucky to survive that long

This show is unreal. I can’t believe how good of a job it did and making me root for him but being able to by the end making me full hate the character which is where the character should be going into the Batman 2! An amazing season of television!!!

I’ve seen people saying that Oz killed Vic out of LOVE to protect him from getting hurt in the future. Like it was a selfless act. It was absolutely nothing but selfish. Can’t believe anyone would see it any other way than Oz just looking out for himself. If he wanted Vic out of the picture for his own safety, he could have given him cash and put him in a bus to fuckin ANYWHERE to have a better life. But he straight up killed him. Not to mention that he broke the promise he made his mother about ending her life if she ever lost herself. She cries at the end not because she finally has the penthouse, but because she’s aware that she has gone so far, and is now being kept alive by Penguin out of selfishness. This guy is 100% a villain, and it’s a little bit blurry throughout the show, but the finale really really drives it home that there is nothing redeemable about him. Yes he has his own “code” and what we see him do is definitely badass. But he’s monstrous.

Man they set up Batman 2 now. Everybody who watched The pension show, Will go into that theater, that can’t wait when Batman comes up to penguin & F him up. They Will literally be yelling at the scream😂 so damn good

The one that got me about The Suicide Squad was how everyone was goofy but badasses. I wanted true nasty evil villains that we see why they are locked up. This show delivered on that no witty dialogue or goofy just vile and dangerous. Also we finally have a bad guy who isn't sympathetic! 10/10!

I remember going from feeling bad for Oz mourning his mothers vegetative state, to "I hope she gets to watch Batman perform an Arkham Combo to your fat ugly Penguin ass."

Correction: the one person he cares about is himself, not his mother. When she had a stroke, he cried bc he was never going to get validation from his mother, not bc she was not able to live a quality life. When he said “it’s your dementia talking” instead of confessing the truth about his brothers, that was gaslighting AF

The reason why this is so good is because yes he's a total monster, but he's not a cartoon villain.
The worst narcissists out there are like this, they will manipulate, lie, kill, even convince themselves they have noble intentions, but in the end they only serve their own interests.
The whole time he's saying he's doing it for his mother, he's doing it for approval to make himself feel good.
If you've ever seen those interrogation videos where they have a sociopath dead to rights but they NEVER admit the truth, he's basically doing that. He'd rather his mother's finger was cut off.

this was one of the WORST season finales of a overall, good show ever...
- the arbitrary lieutenant coups
- cheese-y Gotham(2014 show)-esque mansion fire
- the councilman tide-turning via simple exposition
- a psych doctor having comic-fiction style prowess
- the unintentionally Batman-like disappearance of Cobb at Sofia's arrest
- the two Batman-U references shoe-horned in via a single spoken name, and a graphic image of the Bat-signal

I have to agree with you... the showrunner decided to make a show to make the viewer angry at themselves for wasting their tears on Oz. Kinda like if Ramsay Bolton got his own show lol

The show did to the audience what Oswald did to every single character throughout the show… manipulate everyone to side with the villain only to get stabbed in the back

Oz is a monster. His mom wanted to be put of her misery, and oz instead keeps her alive in a vegetated state inside his penthouse. Sophia wanted to be free of it all and just start a new life, yet Oz locked her up again….man that’s cold.

Sofia knows everything and is related to Cat Woman. He is in for a world of pain.

I had some tear for the penguin the Batman return one but this HBO one no tears what so ever none

I hope Batman 2 ends with Arkham getting broken open, then the Joker show has Sofia back on the street again
